Although I was a bit hesitant regarding the size of 37mm I am totally in love with this watch. This is watch porn in the purest form ;)
Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

BTW this is the old version with the 928/2 so bi-directional winding a steel bearings.
Watch is produced in 2001. Funny while most sources say that the 928/2 movement was introduced in 2004 ;)
Amazing! Looks really good!
That is just ... lovely.
Simply Stunning.
Gorgeous.

A real beauty!
Now that is nice! 36-38mm is perfect for a dress watch.

Very elegant. The only problem for me is the date display but cool otherwise

This is just great, I usually don't like date like this but must admit that it fit perfectly to this JLC. It's a perfect dress watch. Have you any picture on your wrist to see the 37mm effect ?

I really like that, but big JLC fan anyway.
Find this size thing a bit missleading sometimes. Because that doesn't have a thick bezel, it probably looks bigger than some 40mm watches.
Beautiful sheer class i love JLC watches though the list price on this is now £4750
Quality. Pure and simple.
enjoy it and well wear.
Easy there -dont get carried away especially while looking at a computer the missus might not like it :lol:Originally Posted by Saint-Just
Very elegant. What is wrong with the size? It would look stupid at 42mm+. Its a dress watch not a hockey-puck!
Great catch!! Wear it in good health.
Thats such a lovely elegant watch.

Oohhh, that is soo nice. And the old-style cases are just lovely! Congratulations!
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
Definitely needs the promised wrist shot. Many of us now seem to only wear 40mm+ and ignore slightly smaller dress watches. You never know it might inspire something of a renaissance for sub-40mm watches...
Yes, yes, yes, yes, YES. That is the kind of thing that makes me realise why I love watches.
When I was in Selfridges watch dept last week, there were so many crass, blingy watches from AP and Breitling... even nasty Rolexes covered in diamonds and gold Panerais... the only section where I would have had literally ALL the watches was JLC. They are the essence of class.

Wonderful watch and as for size, perfect for a dressy watch! My master reveil is 38mm I think and is my most worn watch (daily between 2004 and 2008 as it happens.) I'm wearing a 34mm watch at the moment and I'm no chick. I was wearing a 45mm watch yesterday - different sizes suit different watches.
very simple and very classy! love it
That is really elegant, congratulations. It would be nice to see it on the wrist, instead of you having to carry the sofa round with it draped on the back :D
Very nice JLC. As the others have said, pure class.
uau... amazing watch. great buy 8)
Really, really, really lovely.
Gorgeous.....can you post some close up pics of the dial?
Cant go wrong with a JLC.
Love the display back. I'm sure you'll be looking at it quite often.
I have the same one on bracelet. I am a big fan of JLC and particularly like their Master series of that era.
Those were the days when JLC offered both black and silver dial options on their Masters. Sadly, black dials are only obtainable on precious metal or boutique editions nowadays.
Here are my JLC Masters:
it is divine  ,wear it in health
Totally forgot the wristshots so here they are. Added one with a Speedmaster and a Nomos for comparison.
The Speedy measures 42mm, the Nomos 38mm
Although I have a 19cm wrist I can wear anything from 34 to 44. The width of my wrist is not to big, just the circumference
Don't have a good macro lens so close-ups of the dial aren't possible. SorryOriginally Posted by Rob
Pure class. I don't think I would ever get tired of looking at that face.
I always end up dinking dig watches, it's probably better that it is a sensible size.
Great watch, well done. The 37 to 38 mm size for this watch is perfect. It is only sports watches IMO that should be large size. A classic like this wuld look a bit silly if it was too bigOriginally Posted by Tommie85
Size-wise the diameter is not a problem. The only issue with these, for me, is the way of displaying the date... not a fan of this. Otherwise... nice.
