ND Sub and NATO Pic Request...

I have always been a fan of the ND Sub on a NATO and I have been thinking about getting one for sometime. The 'problem' is that I have a GMTII and an SD which in the world of 'normal'/uneducated people (depending on how you look at it) are essentially the same. This coupled with the fact I fear that an ND Sub on a NATO may render the rest of my watches as surplus to requirements in the wrist time stakes...

So to help/hinder let me see your NATO'd ND's :D

    Thanks in advance... :)

Must try the SD on a NATO this weekend, will hopefully postpone/stop this problem :)

I was away to say that looks like a Mk1 Maxi Mike, and very nice it is. I have had a look at a couple of the Mk1's but the thing I have my eye on is a 14060M pre COSC.

SWMBO will lay a mushroom cloud :D

Hopefully someone will post a 5513/5517 or a 5517 and you will see how wrong your equation is

The Bond NATO sure looks nice, it's by Corvus but is $53 with shipping outside the US

Dave, as others have said, the brand is Corvus.

Mine is long go though - I gave it away shortly after I bought it. The material is too thin and the holes are too far apart. I was not impressed. The colors are nice, but the quality, ehh.

Regarding NATOs, it's all I wear during the summer months. I love 'em. I cut off the underside keeper though, to make them similar to Eddie's RAFs.

Thanks Ryan, I have got a few watches that I wear on a NATO and I love them. I had my GMT on a NATO and it looked good but IMO the ND Subs look just right and if I get one I would only wear it on a NATO

    Hi Frank,

    gnomonwatches.com

Quality isn't the best on the market (seams are heat welded, not stitched) but the price is quite reasonable.

I did have a pic of one of my old ones on a NATO and with an aftermarket Mil-sub bezel insert but I think I've deleted it.

I find the idea that there's some sort of special Mil-sub NATO a bit strange, I always thought the Mil-subs were supplied by Rolex to the Military 'head only', straps being sourced separatly (from Pheonix straps?)

It has to be said that one that the CWC came on (according to what I have read the 'actual' NATO NATO) is very similar to the Rolex one I have handled... Probably Rolex Dealers applying a tidy markup to the same strap??
