    1960s Royal Navy divers watches

My old chap was a RN clearance diver in the late 1960s - sadly he doesn't still have any of the watches he was issued as they were handed back under pain of death (well, big fines).

Is there a resource anywhere which might list the watches which were issued between say 1965-1969? I'd like to look into adding some examples to my collection.

    Thanks!

going to be omega sm 300's at that point, with the bienne certifictaion service on these they have certainly taken off in the last couple of years, but as with everything else the world is awash with fakes so stick to a decent dealer... i know someone in Italy who has stock of them but especiallyy with the euro issue they wont be cheap :(

That's really helpful, thanks. The Seamaster 300 is a very nice looking watch which I'd be happy to add to my collection - fingers crossed I can find an issued version.

I would reiterate the point that this watch is mucho faked, and there are a lot of frankenwatches out there too. Proceed with caution and do your homework - I'd recommend a visit to the military watch forum at broadarrow.net, lots of knowledgable folks over there who will keep you from making a mistake if you do find something for sale.

SM300 without doubt.............but as already stated by others do your homework on this most faked vintage watch.

I just posted this one: http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/viewtopic...67349&start=15

A '67 version supplied to the British Army. Don't know if it went to the Navy though...
