    PVD Deepsea complete!

It hasn't arrived here yet, but the Deepsea is complete and my PVD man has taken this quick photo, so I thought I would share:

Saw a PVD Sub pic a little while ago. There's something about these PVD Rolex's that really stir me.

    IMO 8)

Got to be worth plenty of pics when it arrives.

Wow, that a real pain. Fortunately for me I don't normally do Rolex - I do however love PVD'd watches. This combination I like, well done and a particularly brave move with a watch of this value.
I hope you are as pleased with the results as you hoped you would be.

Slightly worried about the Benarus comparison!

I'm really happy, my PVD guy is a massive perfectionist and this has taken ages, but I know when it arrives back it will have been done beautifully.

And I am a massive fan of watches that look a little different.

The work looks to be done very well.
And I guess I'm in a minority not liking it.
And don't worry about the Benarus comparison, yours has a far better movement :D

    Re: PVD Deepsea complete!

I'm a fan of dark watches, but prefer DLC, especially with a mirror finish. PVD does come off a little easier and can be a problem with the overall finish, but that looks good and i hope you enjoy it, it really is a marmite thing and you'll get a few negative comments, but if like me you prefer having a dark watch then i wouldn't worry and just enjoy it.

Sorry, not for me, all this PVD/DLC'ing that is going is just a passing fad.

If you want something unique, whatever it is, not everyone is going to appreciate it. Credit to you for having the guts to go with your instinct. I did the same with some decorating and the gf hates it, but it didn't cost anywhere near the investment you have in this

It's kind of stealthy and imposing at the same time - an intriguing result :hello1:

Personally, I like the standard DS, so I wouldn't touch it.
But if you are happy with it, that's all that matters....

I see one all the time on a grey Nato and black cuttlery. Looks nowhere as big as expected. The reflections on the curved sapphire suck big-time. :( :blackeye:

    Re: PVD Deepsea complete!

Not sure about this one, i do like the Pro Hunter version (except for pro hunter on the dial) i think i like a bit of additional colour to take away the harsh look of the PVD although you could argue a Deep Sea is supposed to look a bit moody 8)

I like PVD watches but can't make up my mind if watches that were originally produced as PVD are they way to go or get a custom job done

I am toying getting a Choppard Milga Chrono done like one Nic had at Heuer boy
