Wow, now it looks like a Benarus of some sort  .
Hope you are satified with the end-result though :)
Cheers,

It hasn't arrived here yet, but the Deepsea is complete and my PVD man has taken this quick photo, so I thought I would share:

Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Saw a PVD Sub pic a little while ago. There's something about these PVD Rolex's that really stir me.
IMO 8)
Got to be worth plenty of pics when it arrives.
Wow, that a real pain. Fortunately for me I don't normally do Rolex - I do however love PVD'd watches. This combination I like, well done and a particularly brave move with a watch of this value.
I hope you are as pleased with the results as you hoped you would be.

And I am a massive fan of watches that look a little different.
wow, that's a serious looking beast now... well done for being brave enough to do it!
That looks great! I am a big fan of PVD (not of Rolex though ), but this is tempting...
Enjoy it!
all the best

And don't worry about the Benarus comparison, yours has a far better movement :D

Balls of steel
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
That does look good but I don't, I'm not so sure about al lot PVD watches...
I'm a fan of dark watches, but prefer DLC, especially with a mirror finish. PVD does come off a little easier and can be a problem with the overall finish, but that looks good and i hope you enjoy it, it really is a marmite thing and you'll get a few negative comments, but if like me you prefer having a dark watch then i wouldn't worry and just enjoy it.
Looks awesome. The end.
Dare I (may I?) ask how much?

Sorry, not for me, all this PVD/DLC'ing that is going is just a passing fad.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
will the pvd chip off at some point ?
dont have a clue how is done
The deepsea is meant to look intimidating IMO and that certainly does!
Very courageous, looks good though 8)

If you want something unique, whatever it is, not everyone is going to appreciate it. Credit to you for having the guts to go with your instinct. I did the same with some decorating and the gf hates it, but it didn't cost anywhere near the investment you have in this
It's kind of stealthy and imposing at the same time - an intriguing result :hello1:

Just noticed they've done the bezel numerals as well. That's pretty awesome.
Good luck with that...I would have preferred a darker more brushed finish
8) :thumbright: i like it, just needs putting on a Eddie grey rhino now
Congratulations on doing this and i hope the end result will meet all your expectations.
I FEEL LIKE I'M DIAGONALLY PARKED IN A PARALLEL UNIVERSE
You nutter
I'm not into that look on any watch myself. But damn it man, hat's off for the courage :rr:
Neil
Bloody hell, that's not something you see every day...
Looks good, how much does it cost to get done?Is it an electroplating process or painted? If it scratches does the original colour show through?
I love the look , but not sure if I have the balls to do it to such an expensive watch. How much did it cost?

But if you are happy with it, that's all that matters....

Beautiful mate....
I'm so tempted to get my Planet Ocean done, but still a little worried... :thumbleft:
love the look!! 8)
1.Balls of Steel
2. It´s gonna get a lot of attention (see people´s reaction in this thread 8) )
3. I would be lying if I sa'y I didn´t like it :(
Looks super cool 8)
Looking forward to a full detailed report on arrival.
.
I see one all the time on a grey Nato and black cuttlery. Looks nowhere as big as expected. The reflections on the curved sapphire suck big-time. :( :blackeye:

Not sure about this one, i do like the Pro Hunter version (except for pro hunter on the dial) i think i like a bit of additional colour to take away the harsh look of the PVD although you could argue a Deep Sea is supposed to look a bit moody 8)
I like PVD watches but can't make up my mind if watches that were originally produced as PVD are they way to go or get a custom job done
My Blacksteel
I am toying getting a Choppard Milga Chrono done like one Nic had at Heuer boy
That looks really good and as others have said a Brave decision
pvd is not for me but kudos for getting it done, will be interesting to see how the pvd lasts,
love the sdds anyway
cheers
mike
Frankly that is magnificent. Wear it well and in good health and all of that! I love it! Two thumbs up! :thumbleft: :thumbright:
Probably the best looking rolex I have ever seen.
Those who dare win.
Would Rolex service it?
Probably after they had removed the PVD and sent you a slightly larger than normal service invoice...Originally Posted by Galea

(PS at risk of being chucked out of the VRF I like it - same that the DS is just to thick me!) Massive Kudos for getting it done.

Are you the guy that PVD'd a Daytona?
I'm with Chris on this one (sorry). Just does nothing for me at all. However, you pay your money and you make your choice, so as long as you like it then that's what really counts.Originally Posted by Chris_in_the_UK
Ignore the naysayers ... it looks great. You have my total admiration for having the balls to do it :!:
Wow. That is awesome, congrats on a great piece. I'm jealous :)
I really do like that - best looking Rolex I've ever seen. Not quite sure why, but the words 'Industrial quality' pop into my head when I look at it. Very classy and understated.
I have finally found a Rolex that I like.
A big yes from me!
