Ralph Waldo Emerson: We ask for long life, but 'tis deep life, or noble moments that signify. Let the measure of time be spiritual, not mechanical.
Enjoy the watches!
Why are they giving you antibiotics for flu? They aren't good for viruses, they have undesirable side-effects with you (apparently), and it helps to make the antibiotics less useful in the future.
In any case, I hope that you feel better soon.
Best wishes,
Bob
i got penicillan for my throat infection , my doc said as i can barely speak :?Originally Posted by rfrazier
+1 I always challenge my doctor when she attempts to prescribe antibiotics for me or my children. They have no effect on viruses, and I would rather save their effectiveness for the time when we (ie. humans in general) really need them. Losing your voice is a typical consequence of a throat infection, especially if you talk or sing a lot, and not a sign that the world is about to end. In any case, am wishing you a Speedy recovery. Just be sure to finish taking the whole of that course of penicillin, now that the doc has started you on it...Originally Posted by rfrazier

Antibiotics? :?
Perhaps just because you told the doctor that you'd have an Orange Hand now
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.
I'd get the flu wth THAT lot incoming  :D .

Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Hopefully not swine flu, it would mean all your watches need to be quarantined, just send them to me and i'll stick them in my hazmat cupboard

Al, you are such a greedy bast, hogging all the good stuff. Pass some of your rubbish my way, like that POS WG Daytona and the Zenith. 8)

Good news that it isn't swine flu, bad news that you still have that to look forward to like the rest of us.
Nice watch selection.
Very cool watches, hope you feel better soon :)
thanks guys :) and thanks for all the medical advice from the doctors we have amongst us :)
and i have a good friend who has been doctor for over 15 yrs and was speaking to him the other day ,
he has said its a common virus right now around scotland and lots of younger children have the same symptons as what i have.
my family gp has looked after my brothers, sis , niece, nephew for umpteen yrs and this is only the 2nd time
they have seen me in 2-3 yrs , so im sure she knows what she is doing / prescribing
overprescribing antibiotics is a no no here and u only get it if you need it as they dont want you to build up an immunity
to the drugs , but i guess you lot already knew that .
great mate and the exp 1655 is awesome ,time you let others have a pick of your treasures all the best mark
Very nice and stunning exp! Get well soon!
Sorry to hear you're not well Alan, but is that a second exp you've got now or have you got rid of the first one from a while ago? I've been away from the forum for a while with holidays and exams, so I've a bit behind on your ever changing collection! Get well soon mate!
