A bit much lyrics on that dial but a lovely watch it is.
And bigger than the regular GS offerings. :) (Mental note: must grab one quickly because all watches will be small tomorrow. Or was that next year? Or decade?)

Looks lovely, do you have any dimensions? Some of the Grand Seikos of the past are a little small.

Love it!! Congrats and enjoy :-)

Beautiful, seeing one of those in motion is a treat, the movement is so smooth it could be a hummer.

That looks rather classy!

You already know what you have. So I am not going to say anything. :love10: :blob7:

Costume jewellery. Ouch!!!
Wow 8) .
A beauty it is, and with the Seiko quality, the fast motor should be very reliable.
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Now with my new Seiko hat on, I rather like that. How much?
£4K.
Stick it in your ear. 8)Originally Posted by Seamaster73

Hmm. May need to think about that! OT, but do Seiko still make the MM 300, only the 2008/9 brochure which I received from Higuchi with mine, does not contain it?
wow, nice watch :drunken:
Very nice. Seiko does the classic design well.
Best wishes,
Bob
Looks nice and classy, good that they are making Hi beat movements again. :D :D
Gorgeous.
I'm not one to brag, gentlemen, but I'm the one who brought this up first:

is there a black dial one?
Edit - yes there is - http://oomiyawakayama.ikora.tv/e220610.html
It is true if they call GS a Japanese Rolex. You sould look closer to the movement - there are so many details!
Nope, the one in that link, SBGH003, is actually green.Originally Posted by seikoric

My wife came and sat behind me just as i clicked on this thread, she seen the Hi beat and commented how nice it was but then baulked and nearly fell off the bed when she seen the price. I did however take her to the Seiya site and let her perouse the Seiko spirits and i think i've managed to talk her round to saving up for one for my birthday in a couple of months. Yee-haa :bounce: Thanks for posting this thread. What better forum to say "timing's everything"

Lovely watch; but £4K  Blimey!
One day, when I make my fortune . . . .
It's funny, I never thought I'd say this but if I had a disposable £4k in my hand to buy a watch, I'd 100% choose one of these over any Rolex costing £4k.
Now, just the small task of saving up £4k that won't be missed.
The SBGH001 is in the house:
Absolutely gorgeous: superb picture.
I love the SBGW005 too: my "blue hand" GS is the SBGR037 (as I'll never find an SBGW003, and I plumped for the minimalist SBGW001 instead of the '005 after staring at each them for ages in Tokyo a few years back)
The 037 is also very nice. The size of the SBGH is more suitable for my 7.5" wrist though.Originally Posted by wisemoth

The current GS are little gems. There is no other way to describe them.
