£5950 I think... price rises, who knows!
What's the UK list price of a Deep Sea? Are there any Rolex price increases imminent?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you! I knew they were dear but I had thought they were closer to £5k than £6k. Did they originally sell for a premium and if so, when did this stop?
Like most new models they did sell for a premium when first released (and it was harder to get them), but that premium seems to have disappeared now seeing as more and more of them are appearing in shop windows. You still see the odd one or two with a premium on them though.
I don't think it HAS stopped in some places... my local AD had a used one in recenlty that was up for £6350  They were kind enough to let me have a [s:130ga2kn]drool[/s:130ga2kn] look over it, which was nice. BIG thing!Originally Posted by mouldie

Blimey, cheaper than I thought... still a LOT of money, worth it... not sure having handled one it just misses the mark for me in a few areas.Originally Posted by jimmerjammer
Place is crawling with them... I saw several in shop windows in Athens a few days ago and my local AD has one too
I'll pop round to have a look and I'll find out how ridiculous the euro price is

When you see what they ask for a 200m water resistant Ulysse Nardin Diver, the Deep-Seae still is a bargain :) .
And you get an in-house movement as a bonus  .

Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
The premiums on these is no longer justified...I know reputable grey dealers offering these at 10% off list. If you'd like details PM me.
Time to report back.
List price for the DeepSea is 7100 euros, which sounds about the same as the UK list price. However, I was offered a discount - without even asking for it: 15% plus a slight rounding-down. Six large and I could have walked out of the shop with a new DS.
Not too bad, but I'm not tempted. I'll stick with my old Dweller :)

grey market dealers are buying LNIB models now for about £4200. Wish someone would sell me one at that price I really like the Deep Sea.
Saw my first today in a window at £5750.00 but they are around for less if you ferret, quite frankly the head looked way to big for the bracelet and i think it will have to loose some blubber before i would buy.

Rolex movments are in house too :)Originally Posted by Daddelvirks

Only £4500 on launch and now £5760 - it's a killer - I was happy to pay the £4500 - But when I got the call I just couldn't jsutify the spend (I had already picked up 4 other watches including a white gold daytona) when I had mentally put aside £4500 for the watch - guess that's jsut the way it goes - looks lke I am going to have to pay closer to £5k for a brand new one of the bloody thing when I free up the cash again or see if they are some keenly priced like new examples - I think I could get one for about 10-12.5% off on a good day.
It's just a matter of time...
Over-sized....over-priced....and over here in Leeds :)
Brand new one in Berrys window....been there for approx 3 weeks, maybe longer.
Hideous IMO.

+1 - If you look on TURF (not that I normally do, you understand :) ) there is a new one for under £5k (by a quid!). Have to say, if it was possible to get a nice one for say £4.5k I'd be tempted but there is a psychological barrier for me at the 'round about £5k' mark - as well as a real barrier to do with my WIS-support funds. :shock:Originally Posted by michael.jaye

If you missed me is was because I had a stupid (computer) virus  ... anyway, last week I saw a PVD Deep Sea on an all-black Nato. I knew it was the Deep Sea because of the curved sapphire that was full of reflections. If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have known what it was.
