I'd suggest woven silver but silver oxidises.

    F**king Wow !!!

The quiet revolution goes on. All I knew was that the black part is laser printed.

Doesn,t really look like a printed pattern. In fact, you may see each dot is different....

Next weekend I will try even a higher augmentation pic... :D

I took some more pics. Now I realise the metal is a result of overexposure.....Now it looks more like a lizard microskin (or should I say a micro lizard skin?)....

Cool micro macro photos. Do you have a Rolex to photograph for comparison? Io lend you one if you like. :-)

Looks like it may be laser ablated. Those look like focused spots that have been stepped along.
Puzzling thing it's in the lume so may be a laser deposition technique.
Alternatively it may be a micro syringe application of lume, under CNC.

    Obviously I know nothing.....

That must be EDM or laser etching...

Re: Seiko mm sd: the misterious fabric MORE PICS, MISTERY

The second pic on page 1 does look like spot welding around the edges. Very unusual?
Could it be small pits cut into the base material once the black coating is done, maybe from underneath the bezel (is the black beneath the bezel surface?) We would then be seeing the underside view of the work.
