I've seen people do this on other forums, and I still can't understand why. If you want to leave, then surely the best thing is just to do so, without being such a drama queen about it.He asked for his account to be deleted, he didn't want to be associated with this forum any more.

Whish you find it mate....
I woyuld hate to have my Rolex stolen.
Pierre
good luck, hope someone stumbles on it
I keep checking in Miltons Liverpool no sign yet if i end up buying one whilst there i hold you fully responsible  To be fair though Miltons do seem pretty good checking with Rolex i know they did when i traded one in with them a while back
It might be worth checking things like gumtree in your area far more likley to show up there than ebay I think.
Sorry to hear about your loss... good luck hope it finds its way home
Am I missing the point? If you wanted a serial number to put on a copy watch couldn't you just go to a dealer and ask to see a watch he has on display, then read the number of the back and remember it! That way you'd have a number of a watch that is current and not on a stolen list??!!??
Hope you find it i know the insurance pay out never replaces the item you loose, value or sentimentle.
Good luck Cliff.
Good riddance Potz.
:D
Potz=tosser....anyway. do you think the thief would go to shop for sale or more likely go down to the pub and sell to local crook. Dont know....but best of luck with this.
Hope you get it back m8 , good luck.
You are quite correct, in fact it is actually an offence merely to OFFER a 'no questions asked' reward.Originally Posted by Soft Top

That's strange. I thought I posted this but couldn't find it when I looked a few weeks ago.
Glad I wasn't totally wrong though as I was very drunk whe posting.
I still hope that the watch turns up.
I do hope you get this one back mate.
Bad news.......report the theft to Rolex so at least that serial number will be flagged.
Good luck with the recovery.
Regards,
Eugene

Hi, JY here; I will keep my eyes open too , good luck!!
:( hope she comes back
The serial number on most Rolexes (that have them on the outside, and certainly the ones we are most interested in) are on the sides of the case, under the lugs, and therefore the watchband will cover the numbers. If the band is a leather strap you can kind of twist it around and see enough of the tops and bottoms of the numbers to make most of them out. But if it is a bracelet it all but impossible to see the serial numbers, and if you will notice probably a full 98%, or more, of the Rolexes you see in the windows of a jewelry store or watchshop are on bracelets. Clever of them, no?Originally Posted by justin44

I was burgled 10 years ago and my Seadweller went missing. I reported it to Rolex at the time. I still have the box and papers, my question is what happens if it is sent in to Rolex??
Ouch! I hope you find it!
It just makes my blood boil when thiefs steal off with other people's blood and sweat.
Presumably Rolex confiscate the watch but whether they are permitted to return it to the original owner immediately I'm not sure as the watch then becomes "Exhibit 1" in a theft enquiry and might be required as evidence. And if there has been an insurance claim for the watch then it becomes the property of the insurance company if the claim has been paid. If you phone Rolex UK to enquire if a watch is on their 'lost and stolen' register, Rolex always take your phone number and name and address and advise they will "phone you back" with the search result ... thus if on their register they can identify who has it and their location.Originally Posted by Bestofthebest

another set of eyes looking out for you here, i would be gutted too lose mine.
Thanks for all the good wishes guys - still no news, and I don't really expect to hear anything anytime soon - I just hope in 5/10 years the thing starts running really slow and gets sent back to Rolex for a service. :|
I'l keep my eyes pealed, good luck.
Pete

Keeping my eyes open
Good luck in your quest to get the DJ back.

Best of luck mate.
Also keep an eye on Gumtree, that's where most bike thieves in London sell nowadays, there is a report button at the bottom.
Good luck!
