That would go down a treat with the Chinese, i'm sure.
Probably worth more than a correct on as a result though!

Never mind Candino. I remember Zenith did it once very recently (ie in the last say 2 years). They stuck two 4s on or something like that.

    And this is another one:

It may be deliberate. There's probably some backwater 4th-century export region somewhere where the number nine is considered "evil" or something.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

May be a Japanese market watch - number 9 is considered unlucky....

The #8 is considered very lucky in China, hence they are lucky for two hours, not just one

I wasn't the quickest on the uptake either. Perhaps it's designed for individuals with a stutter?

You guys have got it all wrong.
This is a special very limited LE commissioned for the Oriental market.
8 in Chinese sounds phonetically identical to 'Prosper' and items like number plates with heaps of 8s are much sought after.

If so ,why not put the 8 all round the dial???

Re: Never mind "stealth lume", check out this howler!

Put all 8s round the dial would be a sign of greed. The gods would be displeased.
