    Rolex and charity

We've all read that Rolex donates a significant portion of its profits to charity, but does anyone know which charities and which portion?

my understanding was that apart from the day to day running costs of the company and the development costs of new models the rest is used in the Rolex foundation which does the charitable work. I would try the official site for the full picture

    Martin,

here in Geneva, you see for example vans transporting disabled children to school which
have a sticker indicating they are funded by the Fondation Hans Wilsdorf.

Posh side mark: The screen in the Geneva opera house showing the translation is as well sponsored by
    the Rolex clients...

They are actually registered here in Carouge,
around 400m from my office where I am writing these lines...

Shall I ask for some freebies?

Cool, thanks for the info. Just occurred to me that I've heard of this charity a lot, but never seen any evidence of it. I think it's a brilliant idea though.

I remember reading that a lot of it goes to children's charities because Hans Wilsdorf was himself an orphan. That might explain the bus.

Hans Wildorf founded Rolex and was the main shareholder. When he died all of his shares were placed in a charitable trust.
