The seller's called HonestJohn
Fantastic!
"honest_john0797"
:D    :D
/e
And surprise surprise, the sellers from Liverpool, the Nigeria of the north :D
My Mum was a Liverpudlian so respect in my case. However 'honest john' from Liverpool is a scally, and some.
That is so bad  a forgery of a model that doesn't even exist is always amusing. Reported, but collectively we could make a career out of this
One here n'all!

Check out the workmanship on that wonderfully embellished movement.
what you guys on about it gooooorgeous!!! :blackeye: :blackeye: :blackeye:
I have sent the following message to the seller
Dear honest_john0797,
Does the watch have any papers to authenticate, what was the original value? Where was it purchased from or was it 'a gift'? Do you have the model number, could we do a deal in person?
Thanks.

I may be baiting him a little but who cares, if the listing gets pulled maybe I will continue via email and perhaps arrange a ficticious meet somewhere
Why do people bother. OK, its only the watch uneducated that will do so, but still....come on!!! What is going on at ebay HQ. Because of the sh!t they let people get away with, I would never buy anything watch related or expensive from this site. If my dream deal popped up on here and looked a dead cert, I would still let it slide rather than take the risk. Ebay is a joke, which I spose does make me laugh when I see this sh!t on it.
Joe.
I think I know this honest John's two brothers :)
Bodgit & Scarper 8)
Is that supposed to be a tourbillon visible through the face? Marvellous.
What I want to know is where do they actually make this stuff??!!!
I've seen a few fake PAM's go on ebay recently. Most get pulled before the end, but I've seen a couple in last month go for £1800+. One was a UK sale that shipped to Canada. I msg'd the buyer, but go no response.
What I don't get are these 100star + users that have been using ebay for a while & have a good rating, yet still state they bought from new, when it's a fake. I've also know someone who bought a watch from a friend to then find out it was a fake after they listed in on ebay.
Oh dear.....
That is hideous
My one bad watch-buying experience (before I joined here and learned so much more) was a fake Pam. It hurt. I look at occasionally and wince. It has a nice Radiomir-style case, crystal and exhibition back if anyone wants to make a Frankenwatch. You can throw away the cheap Chinese auto. Make me an offer.
I can go and pick it up if anyone here is the unlucky high bidder...!
:bom:
Now that's a classy looking piece if ever I saw one
And here is the somewhat predictable response:Originally Posted by phil h

And my next question
The model number will be printed on the reverse and will be something like PAM000112, I only ask as I have not seen a model like this before, perhaps it is a limited edition or rare model, but would like to know before I commit
perhaps the person who gave it to you still has the papers?
let me know so I can bid
Phil
Movement look ok to me :D
GOD THATS SUCH A CRAP FAKE
I did report it but clearly I'm not authoritative enough.

I have sold numerous watches here in the past, with excellent references - so before you piss on my patio, please take some time to do some research.
Thank you.
HORRENDOUS
Ebay has become an absolute joke. I used to take the time out and report loads of scams and fakes. Did they care? NO, nothing ever happened.
My wife bought a pair of knickers using my account and forgot to pay for them. They banned me. :banghead:
thats one is really really bad
Well, it's possible that Eddie hasn't read your post (he is quite busy!) but the SC rules do clearly state no selling of replica watches.Originally Posted by TTPS
Perhaps instead of telling Eddie to pull it - and assuming you had read the rule but was still unsure in any way - a PM to Eddie first would have been more appropriate?

' but the SC rules do clearly state no selling of replica watches'.
So where does that leave all the Marina Militaires that are constantly advertised here on SC?
Are they not replicas too?
It's a very fine line between a replica and a 'homage'.
TTPS
It's not too fine a line for me. If it says Panerai on the dial (as yours does) - and it isn't a Panerai - then it's a fake, or replica IMO.Originally Posted by TTPS

If it says 'replica' on the item then that's okay but this clearly sets out to sell itself as a proper Panerai. It's a fake and should not be on sale.
Sorry not a Pam but a Rolex this time

what do you think chaps :?
Wonder how many people reported this - I did and a couple of others in this thread I reckon. Ebay didn't remove it and it sold for £490...
