    Would this be too blingy?

I've seen a couple of Panerai's that i like, one being the solid gold PAM 140, my only doubts are that it is as blingy as you'll get, 44mm and gold, but it's at a great price!

Not at all. I love gold and black together. Now, if it had had a white dial, it would be a different matter!

Hi Ryan, I have seen one of those in the flesh and it's a stunning watch, I don't think you will find it too blingy but it depends on how you like Gold watches.

I've just had one on my wrist and it was stunning, but i just wanted to get a kind of feel for how others view it, the thing weighs about 3 times as much as the 74

May i be so bold as to say I don't think it's blingy though getting there but the Luminor deal is 'tool' orientated, is it not? A gold Radiomir :P yes. (yes i do know the 'originals' were Rad style cases)
It will also lose more money pro rata over a steel model.

I think that is one of the best looking gold watches about at the moment. Blingy or not, if you have the wrist to pull it off I'd go for it.

Doesn't Tiff Needell wear a model similar to that on Fifth Gear?

As i said, it's lovely with the CF dial, but the solid gold weight and look is the only off putting things, which is weird as you'd think gold would sell it to anyone :D

If you've already got a pimped up RR Sport and you da man already, that watch will fit right in.
Gold as an everyday wearer is too soft imo and your left arm will eventually be a little longer than it's neighbour

For me, yes but each to his own. As I've often said it would be a dull (and expensive) world if we all liked the same thing. If you decide to go for it good luck and wear it with pride.

    Cheers,

You got to be of a certain age to carry that one off, otherwise it'll look like you've borrowed your dad's watch

    Nice watch though.

If it's too blingy i can always trade it as there's a few pimp daddys on here, although i don't know if it's worth trading for a zebra dialled daytona :D

Yeah, it is classy, i just wish it was toned down a little :D

Anyway, at least i'm getting better answers here than on paneristi, which is meant to be the home of Panerai lovers, christ that place is full of wallopers.

Not at all - much nicer than the all yellow gold Rolex Sports models - iMHO.

What sort of money are we talking??

Both straps included, i thought i'd get the dodgy rubber one but i guess Panerai don't believe in these going with rubber, so a lovely honey croc strap with white stitching, now what was my all time favourite Panerai strap again :D

 Good grief, where's my sunglasses... No, forget the sunglasses, anybody got a welding mask?

Not my cup of tea, I'm afraid. Don't get Panerai and can't understand the attraction, but that's my loss. If you think you can live with it, go for it!

Thank god for that! Still, you've got to have some admiration for a county (Kingdom?) where "ya whore" is a term of endearment.
