Please don't jump on me..... I have done a search of the topic and read through the thread.....but......
I can't seem to find the answers to these questions:

Will the bezel be acrylic and will it be lumed - ie as the Mk1 version??
    What are the dimensions?

    thanks,
    david

    - Flat acrylic bezel without lume
    - Same dimension of the actual PRS-50

    Hi Team,

Have there been any release dates stated anywhere yet? Also, I must have missed the post/discussion about the approximate cost?

    Can not wait :bounce:

The rising sense of anticipation and excitement about the launch of this watch is almost tangible. I find myself checking both TZ and the Time Factors website two or three times a day to make sure I haven’t missed an announcement. :bounce:

    OK Jokers -

I have been hunting for the old PRS 50 for a month ot two: you name it - have been there, have done that, ...

As far as the new PRS 50 is concerned: can anybody tell me whether we are talking months or weeks here.??? If this is going to take months ... I need sth to alleviate my itch, naturally ...

Joining the group somebody said: "welcome to this madness" - he was darn right. :bounce:

    Thanks,
    Marcel.

I know far less than the average fellow sadly, let alone the formidable intellects around here. A few keystrokes led to my WAG. If not November my second choice is August.

Eddie, I was wondering if you could confirm what lume you have settled on and what sort of thickness/profile we can expect for the crystal.

The lume is certainly C3 and I'm a little confused over the thickness of the crystal, I'm sure it's 4mm but some distant memory is suggesting 6mm. I don't have drawings for this because it's essentially the same as the previous version with a different dial, bezel and crystal: the construction is identical.

    Re: New PRS-50

I'm really looking forward to this model. The thing I am really finding appealing - the super thick acrylic crystal. This watch is going to look very retro and super-cool. I have been torn over this one and the Vanguard, but I think the new PRS-50 has just about won through.

Thanks for the confirmation on my questions Eddie.

    Cheers

My mistake, the crystal is 2.5mm thick. I asked for a drawing this morning and received this.

I've been bringing mine along gently. I hooked her when the false "in stock" designation for the old model disappointed my attempt to pick one up. Lucky for me she's very kind-hearted and mostly likes me

The crystal drawing is the only new drawing, all other details are identical to the earlier PRS-50 drawing.

Eddie - thanks Lord for your out of the box approach:) I was reading the other day about your old PRS 50 LE fitted with the new old stock 17 jewels AS2063... (by the way, pulled the trigger on this guy, so will not torture you anymore - 44/50 - now the wait).

Back to AS2063 in your new PRS 50: is it going to be the same as in the old PRS 50 LE?

Also can we share what we know about this “engine” , not knowing is the deal killer for many new to this madness like me; since it was produced in the 70ties - is it going to be a new old stock 17/25 jewels? Are they made new anywhere?

    This is really exciting,
    Marcel.

As far as I know they're not being made again but it was a remarkably popular movement in its day and they are still not difficult to get NOS, just more expensive every time :( .
