OMG
I've seen the pics before but can't believe anywhere would have one in stock!!
Was in the new Westfield shopping centre briefly today and grabbed a few moments to check out a couple of the watch shops. Popped into the DM london store and everything was pretty much run of the mill but at the back of the Rolex cabinet was the Rolex Leopard Daytona. Now i've seen a post on here about it before but i have to say seeing it in person it looked truly horrid and awful. And £36K
OMG

My eyes! My eyes!!! MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

That is truly fugly
It's hideous.
I sometimes sleep with a watch on.....imagine waking up in a morning and looking at that!
The attraction of Rolex to most of the world is the ageless timeless design concept....then they come up with somthing like this.
Why??????
How can piss poor taste cost so much money??!!!
Jim
Saw one in an AD's window in Las Vegas with lots of other fugly diamond things.
It's one of the only places in the world it would probably blend in!
Cheers

CHEW YOUR ARM OFF QUICK!It's hideous.

OR
I just hit pay now am I doomed?
I saw not one but two in Can-Cun about three years ago. And to make it worse they were in the same case.
so me arabs , pakistanis and indians love them like that :)
Oh god, I had hoped they were purely vapour-ware, an internet photoshop myth. They are real? The horror, the horror!

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
Probably loads of people round Shephers Bush/White City with £36K to drop on a watch :o
I didn't need THAT at this time in the morning.
The OP should spend a self imposed period in Forum Of The Banned.

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

When you see a Liberace special like this, all it does is make you appreciate a "stock" SS
Daytona !
Only a Jackass or a 'so-called' pop star would buy that monstrosity! I would rather be hung in hot chains over a festering pit of Hippo excrement than even admit to having that 'thing' buried in my garden!
Verdict? ... ... !
Oh come on surely that is the nicest watch ever made a nice Leopard Daytona - I now secretly you all yearn for one ;)
It's just a matter of time...

I wonder what leather the strap is?
You guys have got it all wrong.
Its not what the watch does for you, its what the girl you buy it for does for you :D
Was going to say 'aren't they all' (IMHO) but that is worse than the normal sober ones & has been commented on many times ..
/vince ..
WOS in Brighton had one.
I think the attraction to a lot of the world is having dollars on your wrist to be honest. That's why there's a market for these gaudy ones, and precious metal watches generally.Originally Posted by walkerwek1958
There's one in the watch room at Harrods too, along with an awful zebra stripe pattern Oyster Date.
The only people I can imagine buying watches like this are Elton John, or dodgy african dictators like Mugabe.
Edit: Here's a pic of the Zebra one, nice..... :|
SO that would be the "Bet Lynch" SE then? :D :D :D :D
Cheers
Stephen
I saw the one at WoS Brighton as well, they're shut down now??
I dislike this specimin as passionately, albeit for very different reasons....
I lived in Monaco for 3 years and you would be surprised at how many of this type of watch you see on people's wrists.
I am not only talking about Grand Prix week, the boat show and in top notch restaurants but also in the check out line at Carrefour!
At least with one of these you hardly notice the ROLEXROLEXROLEX all round the chapter ring.

Likewise Marbella. Great place for watch viewing, and a grey dealer in the Port that has some stunning pieces, but only if your watch budget has lots of 000000000000000's in it :lol:Originally Posted by london lad

Are those stones around the bezel yellow diamonds or citrine?
Lot of work for a diamond house to cut all those!
Same here, as it's been a very successful model for Rolex both in sales and marketing value.Originally Posted by Jonmurgie
No question that it is horrid but most regions actually have a waiting list for it.
I used to know someone for whom it would have been perfectly appropriate. And, if I had had the money, I certainly would have got it for her. :)Originally Posted by DeusIrae

However, can imagine arabs and Muslims thinking that it looks quite "Bling"
He he... I was thinking Bet Lynch too, perfect for her. However, some of the "ladies" (I use the term in its most tenuous sense here) who would be attracted to such a monstrosity, would have already made their skins look like tangerines, so it would blend in quite nicely perhaps.
I'll see that gross Daytona (seen for about, ooh, the 50th time on here? :)) and raise you this load of crap from JLC...
Yes, it is a watch.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Ah, such wistfulness, Bob. Almost sounds the sort of thing Morse would have said... :)Originally Posted by rfrazier
