    Holiday Watch, 2025

Anyone buying a cheap and cheerful watch for the summer holidays this year?
I've decided to get one of these from Watchdives. 39mm titanium case and bracelet with nh35 movement. It's very light and comfortable and the lume is excellent.

I have worn this almost everyday on our three week holiday on the Florida Keys, it’s a superb watch. I just change the strap to a blue Croc when going out to dinner

Quite fancy a tide watch. I take it that it connects to your phone for positioning?

Tide app on the Garmin uses its own GPS but tide data from the phone and that will probably be my holiday watch this year.

For a holiday watch, I need
    - GMT, or the ability to step the hour hand
    - decent WR, and
    - decent lume, or a light.

I've always thought the Breitling quartz chronos would be a good holiday watch.

    (Other colours are available...)

Had this a week or so and loving the functionality of the quartz vs. the appearance.

I am away on Sunday so will be taking this with me this year.

I had it on a nato strap but the bracelet gives it just enough more ooo for me.

This one doesn’t. The later MIP display ones do.
I modded one with a different case.

Either way, great option for a holiday watch.

This is mine,I tried it out at a very loud heavy metal gig last night.

When they suddenly started moshing and my dodgy knees gave way we hit the deck hard, not a scratch on it (but a few on me).

This is the perfect watch for many pursuits, its not flash love it.

Nothing wrong with that at all. I think I've had the composite case version - love the asymmetry. Good watch.

    gregory - great Breitling.

It certainly has! It's been on 20yrs worth of motorcycle trips all around mainland Europe, diving in Thailand (and Stoney Cove, Brrr!) camping at Lake Havasu, Arizona, walking in Washington, and other road trips in the US, camper van touring in NZ, and every camp trip in the UK, Ireland, and every boozy weekend away with the gents! ;)

    It's had a good life :)
