Do they exist? Or are they a forgers make believe?
I am currently sitting on a plane and the chap next to me has a grey dial Milgauss with light / faded orange second hand, it has a clear (non green) crystal.
Looks to have seems a bit of action, it’s definitely not been babied.
Using my google-fu it seems it would be a faded / ‘tropical’ dial. Grey was not a factory option as I understand it?
I am guessing it was originally a black dial example and not the blue?
So are they really rare and this chap (a nicely dressed Italian in business class) has a watch I am lucky to have seen, or is it likely to be as genuine as a trumpian attempt at bringing manufacturing back to the good ol’’ us of a.

I’ll say the black dial is actually very very dark matt grey/gray under under enough light.
But all the light from the sun wouldn’t make it look like the picture. That’s damage or faux patina.

I used to have the green and now think the black looks better. Really not keen on the white.
OK that's really nice. The slate dial with the orange is lovely.
At last a modern (ish) Rolex I like. Although of course it didn't leave the factory like that.
One on C24 for a mere £12K...
It's worth a browse on there as there seems to be quite a few that are also well on their way to the same fading - and that's all this is, UV-induced fading.
This one looks even further-gone.

If LA Watch Works did do it they also did one of the best mods I’ve seen on a Rolex. Brushed bezel.

I am pretty sure someone here has a Sub with brushed bezel (and red second hand)
The toning down of the bling is a big positive for me.
Wow. I have two SD4K’s that I’m planning on selling. Think I might keep one now that looks stunning

Would you do it though? If/when it needs serviced and it goes to Rolex they'll bin it and charge you something silly for a new one.
You can probably buy a bezel and insert that would fool most on Aliexpress so that's what I'd be doing, then it can always be returned to standard.

Lovely that.
And as suggested (and probably the most important thing for me).. modded but easily returned back to original with a service. Win / win.
Unlike those PVD mod things out there.
Proper lovely.
Imagine the rush / furore / pricing if they actually released one with this spec.
Gorgeous.
