Hope everything turns out well, stay strong and never give up
I’m sorry for the worry of all this, I know there are a lot of unknowns, but once they know what they are dealing with, they will have a plan. Stay strong.
Thinking of you and fingers crossed.
Very best
Dave

Update if anyone interested and thank you for the kind words.
The biopsies taken last time did not produce any workable results so I was booked into hospital for a Thoracoscopy Tuesday (25th).
I arrived at the hospital at 9am and then spent the next few hours having a few different test, blood, etc.
At 12.30 lunch time I went to the operating theatre to prep for the Thoracoscopy (loads of paperwork to sign and grant permissions).
The procedure went well, uncomfortable at times but done, sample taken and a drain put in, by now gasping for a drink having not drank since 8am !!
Back to the ward for a rest and in time to order my evening meal, Fish, parsley sauce, potato and carrots with a bowl of fruit, all acceptable (nice).
I was advised I could be in hospital one to four days depending how things went such as infections etc, all went well.
Lots of fluid was drained which immediately helped the coughing.
All went well and I was discharged late Wednesday.
When I looked round the ward and saw the stages some of the guys where in I felt very lucky to be going home until the next visit.
I could not fault the staff from top to bottom and the hospital itself, really good.
So much paperwork, I think the hospital, Doctors, Staff have to really cover there rears.
Praying for you Tiger!
Jim
Glad to here the hospital trip was managed well by you, wishing you a positive outcome too.
Hoping for the best outcome for you.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
This is really sad news and like others said I’m hoping for the best possible outcome. Had the pleasure of meeting the tiger on a watch deal and know he struggled to find the time as his wife is very unwell also ,you must be exhausted my thoughts are with you
Can the Doc´s tell what it is yet?
All the best and continue thinking, humming Eye of the Tiger.

Good to hear that you’re getting the medical help you need in order to get to the bottom of it.
Fingers crossed you get some positive outcomes.
Good to hear it all went as smoothly as possible.
Also good to see that the NHS still seems to work when things have some urgency (this is also my recent experience).
Results in today.
Stage four cancer of the right lung, nothing can be removed or chopped off so actions to be discussed at the next appointment but the only hope it would seem is perhaps Chemo to slow it down, bugger we tend to think its going to be someone else :(
It really does make minor problems VERY minor.
I've only just read this thread John, bloody hell mate - you're certainly going through the mangle. Anything I can say would just sound trite but sincerely mate, my thoughts are with you.
So sorry to hear that. Let's hope that chemo can get it under control.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Sorry to hear that. Hope the chemo can do it's thing, all the best.
Sorry to hear this John
I’m so sorry to read this…. Take care x
I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It's understandable that you're feeling overwhelmed and scared right now. It's great that you're staying positive.
Oh dear, really sorry to hear that, John. Wishing you all the best with regard to treatment, and I remain happy to talk to your wife it it might help her at all.
Must be a very, very challenging time for you. Try to stay as strong as you can given the circumstances.
So sorry to hear this, hope you get all the help and care you need and deserve.
So sorry to read about all this, a terrible shock for you and puts into perspective anything else going on in life for the rest of us.
In a horrible coincidence, two good friends called me in the last couple of weeks to say they’d been diagnosed with bladder cancer, and one of my sisters in law had a biopsy on a mass on her lung yesterday and is waiting for her results now.
I hope the treatment goes well for you, and sincerely all the best to you.
Sad to hear this diagnosis, hope things work out in the best possible way for you Tiger.
Awful news.
Hopefully the chemo will slow it down.
All the best mate.
Cheers,
Neil.
Next step on my final journey.
Thursday 3/4/25 PET-CT scan, not had one of these before, will advise :) things seem to be moving along well, can't complain.
A friend of mine is always saying that at our age and especially now we don't have to justify anything to ourselves or anyone else so with that in mind when shopping yesterday I bought Lurpak instead of my normal Clover butter and bought my ham from the Deli rather than the normal (rubbish) from the shelves :)
Shit news. Not what we wanted to hear.
Stay strong and good luck for the next set of tests.
Sorry to hear your news Tiger, as others have said, wish you all the very very best going forward.
really sorry to hear this news; good luck with the ongoing treatment
Really sorry to read your news here Mr Tiger -
I hope things go as well as possible- I wish you all the best
Really sorry to hear this
Prayers and best wishes with you and those close to you
Really shocked and saddened to hear your news John, sending sincere best wishes.

Travel blog, Final journey.
And another leg on the journey completed a PET-CT scan yesterday, basically they pump some radioactive material into your blood stream (tell you to keep your distance from young kids and pregnant women for a few days), leave it for one hour to circulate and then you have a scan (25mins), no problems apart from I had to hold both arms over my head around my neck for the 25mins, when the scan was finished I had to ask the nurse to help me bring my arms back into a normal position, they were seized up, Jesus wept this getting old can be crap :)
ps: I thought my dinky might glow in the dark later but it didn't :)
