That's lovely with the full lume face, just get it serviced, what is the asking price?

I have the opportunity to make an offer on a early 90's (I think) Tag.
It was recently found in a store filing cabinet and it is believed to have been there for 22 years.
History unknown, it isn't ticking, no box, a few marks. However I do quite like it.
What do we think a fair bid is?

As a starting point:

The one you have looks a touch nicer.
That’s lovely! Tell them they’ll need to get a £250 service if they’re wanting to sell it to the public and, with a value of around £650 serviced, you’ll offer £400 and save them the hassle.
I put my old tag f1 in a drawer and forgot about it for years. When it eventually saw the light of day, the movement was toast as the battery had coroded it.
Just sayin’
One sold for under £500 on eBay recently and another for £650.
As said earlier, it’s going to need a full service/new movement so £400 has hit go be your top offer. If they want more then better to just pass on it.
I did have 3-400 in mind so you have all helped, thank you.
I'll see if I can get the back off tomorrow and have a look. I can get a discount on servicing through Tag at least.
Thank you!

This is so cool. I love the old school TAGs. The full lume dial id like the night diver worn by Timothy Dalton as 007
There was a battery in it, thankfully no leak.
I'm still thinking about it..
Ive ordered a battery, hopefully have an idea if it works soon.

Lucky boy, that movement is a 955 which is modern in quartz watch terms, v. easy to service and sort out, parts are available. Had it been an earlier movement it could've been a lot different.
Crown seal has probably deteriorated to a sticky mess, that's more of a challenge.
