    Vintage Seiko servicing

I was about to send off my 6105 and 6309 to Richard Askham for servicing but thought I'd check to see if there were any other recommendations?

I've already asked Duncan (Thewatchbloke), but he's booked until the end of time

    TIA

Cheers. I presume IG is Instagram? I don’t use Instagram because I’m old

Coincidentally need to send my 6306 7000 in for service and usually always send my vintage stuff to Rich, but Guy was recommended by a few people. I do follow him on Instagram but have not used him. Might make contact and see how is fixed.

Duncan Hewitt, thewatchbloke. He also seems to have a good stock of spares, including Seiko crystals

    Yes, IG is Instagram.

Dave McKane is another I’d consider in a heartbeat but the last time I spoke to him he wasn’t taking on new work. That was a while ago mind you.

.olli. is I think Oliver Chambert's username on here, or https://onatelier.co.uk/

He did an excellent job on my 6309s.

I also used Rich in the past and he's great too. And Duncan (definitely only the watchbloke one).

Hmm, obviously need my eyes testing - didn't see that bit. Equally though, you could have spared my blushes and confined your comment to PM or the BP?
And in spite of Duncan being busy for however long, I still think he's worth the wait.

Thanks Doc. I agree about Duncan and have used him lots of time in the past, but he's just not taking any more work.

If you live on the other side of the globe, I'd recommend Adrian from VintageTimeAU: https://vintagetimeaustralia.com/

I don't get involved with vintage Seikos, anything prior to the 7S26 movement should, in my opinion, go to someone who specialises and really knows his way around them. Sourcing parts is never easy and knowing which parts interchange is a challenge. For these reasons I`d stick with guys who have a track record for these watches.
