    Smiths PRS-40 white dial

Would there be any interest in a PRS-40 with a white dial, possibly other colours? It's such a great case design. I've had every model.

My wish list for it would be...

Choice of matte white, orange, dark blue dials.

Same Smiths text on the dial as the original.

Very thin case like the first version.

Choice of clip on leather and canvas straps with matching blasted hardware.

Choice of no date or date at 6 with matching date wheel colour.

3 hand quartz moment, Seiko solar or mechaquartz.

To elaborate on movements, I would prefer a Swiss jewelled quartz like the original. I know modern movements with zero jewels are reliable but I feel that jewelled quartz are more traditional and give a little extra nice feeling. I liked the chronograph PRS-40 models but felt like something was missing with the movements.

Eddie, would I be right in saying that if a PreciDrive movement is used, it has to be constructed in Switzerland? Any other ETA movement that can be used? I see the Precista Mission Timer has an ETA movement.

I can't get the Precidrive, I've tried and ETA aren't supplying microbrands.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

How about Ronda 715Li if you can get some more? Maybe even a small seconds version? Seems like there isn't any interest from members here though.

This is in reference to PRS-10 (see PRS-10 thread).
