The ultimate home restorer? (BMW content)

As per title. Look at these projects... And yes, this is in a shop behind someone's house. And yes, this is weekends and evenings-only. Some of us collect watches, others collect BMWs, I guess.

Is that an E9 up on the ramp (acid yellow)?

Best looking car BMW ever made if so

Yup. And in the left lower corner, the pale blue bonnet, is another one. Unrestored. Looking like new.

I was wondering how long it would take… It's a full specs car. Once ready it will look like this.

Nice, I bought this one for stock a few years ago, along with the 2002 Turbo....

Seriously good looking car. I love the colour. The car on its own is a statement, so why not a bold colour as well?

Back in the late 90s I nearly bought a 2002 turbo from an Aberdeen specialist, think it was a fiver shy of £9k. Perhaps rather daftly I thought better of it and spent about an extra £4k on an E30 320i convertible from them instead.

Yup. Been there, done that so to speak. In the 80s I was offered a Porsche 356 cabrio for restoration. It was still 'under its own power' do to speak. The asking price was around 6000 euros. I didn't have a house with a proper garage, so I turned it down.
