    Omega NATO straps

Has anyone tried these in particular the all leather

    and the all fabric

I wanted to try them on my fixed bar watches, they do 18mm so Omega must think they work, worried they might be to thick.

I don't want to appear dismissive about these, but I really can't get the peverse logic of premium pricing (which is an inevitability when a luxury brand produces it) for a NATO strap, something so clearly designed to do an effective job for as little cost as possible.
To be honest, this even extends to the "luxury" pricing of Watchgecko these days, when some of the best NATOs I have ever used came from CNS at a fraction of the cost.
But happily, we are all different.
    To each their own etc

Have you looked at the leather ones I was talking about?

    That’s a lot of oozing for £260

    Crazy money in my book.

They look nice, yes, but they are also just a constant width strip of two leathers bonded together with a sealed edge. With signed metalwork.
I see just as much quality material and craftsmanship in things like the very nice custom one-piece Bund strap that Pav made for me to my exact dimensions, that cost less than a 6th of that price.

That's just my take on it, and it informs the way that I get my straps.
Not everyone will agree, and that's fine by me, just as I hope my opinion shouldn't offend anyone else.

    Omega NATO straps

I have a leather nato strap which came with my bronze Hamilton Khaki mechanical. Same design with leather loops instead of metal which imho works rather well, oddly comes with a Titanium buckle but it’s nice and dull so doesn’t look all that odd.
It’s £99 if bought separately which seems quite a lot - the Omega version is crazily priced imho but it does look rather nice and shares the leather loops look which might look great on a basic looking field style watch. I’m a bit lost and out of touch with Omega nowadays but would look great on one of the older Railmasters imho
But worth over £200? Never in a million years imho!

The Emperors new clothes. They are £20 straps at best.

I love the quality but I hate the extortionate pricing and the fact that they're just fractionally too short for me.

I bought one when they were £[emoji[emoji6][emoji6]] ish, too much money then but the quality is excellent. Im between holes fit wise so don’t wear it!

I agree to a degree, but it’s a hard argument when a watch over about £10 is much the same.
I mean this is literally a forum for people wasting money on overpriced watches! 😂

    Some very ambitious pricing there.
