Cool New incoming: Pelagos FXD GMT

My dealer helped me acquire one of these recently. Really liking the weight, dimensions, lugs and the insane lume, which is on the dial, hands and bezel. I like how you can read the second/third timezone at the dark because I'm a sad tw*t lol.

Weirdly, it arrived fully stickered; is this a regular thing? The lugs, case side etc are all intact which seems unusual to me, or am I just too used to Rolex and other brands insisting on removing stickers etc these days?

I think I'm going to keep it, but have to decide if I really need another watch. Loving the fact the crown almost lines up perfectly though.

Totally normal for Tudors to come with full stickers in place. My next watch this, just waiting on a call from Lumbers as like to buy locally.

Yep. That’s my next watch!! 12.5mm thickness. Wayne - a favour can you measure the width across the watch head - lug-lug? Is it 50mm or less?

sure I’ll do that asap. I’d say it’s 50mm from looking at it. It fits my scrawny wrist lol

Hi Martyn - I’m sure Wayne will reply but here is a link that includes all the measurements. It’s about half way in.

I am liking that very much, the bigger size suits my old eyes much more than the Rolex GMT offerings. A trip to the Trafford Centre is now required :)

Saw one in the window of Beaverbrooks in Norwich on Monday, alongside nearly every other newish release and both flavours of BB chrono. Looks like expensive watches aren’t selling like they used to!

The FXD GMT has had a mixed reception.

Tudor residuals are also now quite poor.

Never bought a watch thinking about residuals tbh, I buy a watch because I like it and at that point in time have no intention to sell it!

Totally agree. Seems like the FXD GMT has all the qualities I am looking for in a GMT watch and in the current market at a decent price for a COSC and METAS certified movement.

I just need to check the fit as it’s boarder line too wide a watch - but the fixed lugs maybe will effect the feel.

For most of us, residuals are not why we are here. Well, I'm guessing that is the case with this crazy hobby of ours.

The FXD GMT is certainly growing on me.

There are some great looping straps available for the FXD's that keep the case back clear. Well worth a look plus they are so comfortable too.
