Shoes

I have a pair of unworn gucci leather shoes that I bought from flannels 11 months ago and I looked at them today and the finish is flaking off leaving discoloured patches.
They have been stored in the box away from any heat sources unfortunately they don't sell the same shoes anymore.
What are my rights for a refund ?

Ask Gucci?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Think it will be down to the goodwill of Flannels to take it up with Gucci.
Wouldn't hold out much hope I think.
I thought everything sold new in the UK had to have a 12 month garentee?
I’d contact customer support on social media, privately at first.
It’s not a matter of guarantee. It’s about an unworn luxury product self-destructing in a few months.

My £19.99 Shoe Zone slip ons are perfect after 3 years.
You have up to 6 years but onus is on you to prove the fault.
I would contact Flannels first with photos and see what they say, but I think the seller responsibility has elapsed. I think this is 6 months where they have to prove the fault wasn't there at purchase, after that it's back to you to prove it was there and then passes to the manufacturer.
Plus, Flannels is a Mike Ashley Fraser company so you'll have no chance with them.
Good luck with Gucci.

Consider Googling: 'Leather shoes peeling' .... potential reasons are documented.
"Well they would say that ... wouldn't they!"
Aren't these just their 1953 horsebit loafers, perhaps in a peculiar leather? I've had two pairs over the years and can't see anything in the leather used that would result in that fault (although perhaps that's not very helpful). Gucci used to offer shoe repairs at their shop in Bond St but that doesn't seem to be on offer anymore according to their website though maybe you need to speak to them. Otherwise I'd say you've got two options
1. They are leather shoes - just polish them and accept it as part of the aging process.
2. Have a word with John Rushton in Wimpole st. He has a tame cobbler who, according to John, is happy to repair Gucci (my guess is that means the standard horsebit loafer as that's always been a bit of a Sloaney staple). John may well be heading into partial retirement so I'd ring ahead to make sure he is there.

Cheers I just learned something, ´´horse bit loafers´´, hadn´t encountered the term before and was wondering what- why the metal bits.
Yep, I`ve never heard of it too and I do question why the metal bits are there.
I like loafers but I generally buy them on holiday in Spain for around £30 (after haggling). Last time I bought expensive ones was circa 1986 and they fell to bits very quickly, leather soles and me don't get on well!
Apparently, according to the GQ article I just perused, the pony metal work jingles as you walk! That would annoy the hell out of me personally but different folks- strokes applies. They´d be useless if events took a turn and it was necessary to go stealth, say creep up on a skittish beaver or give a rampaging XL Bully the slip, for example.
I suspect their popularity as off-duty wear amongst army officers is also probably to do with the jingle-jangle. It sounds the same as if you are wearing spurs which, depending on your regiment or corps, is a given for mess dress and No 1s.
The saddle looks to be a different colour to the upper.
If so then i suspect it will be a slightly lesser quality leather and has been corrected with a fine layer of PU, and it is enzymes that are breaking down the polyurethane.
Hydrolysis.
