    Cenotaph rememberance .

Seems like any old scammer can get a .uk website.

One of them you may lose a few quid to counterfeit clothing. The other a few million for a counterfeit lifestyle.

It's actually very easy to have your own website, -.co.uk, -.com, -.uk there are plenty available. Even miserablewhingers.com is available among others!

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

I understand where you're coming from with that "inclusivity" word because I can be triggered by it as easily as anyone, but ignoring the usual woke baggage that it carries, which you quite reasonably allude to - it is surely important that a national anthem should espouse a message that all who believe in the country, as you put it, can identify with. Ours emphatically does not.

"God save the King". The well-being of the reigning monarch is not the same as that of the United Kingdom. Many don't support the monarchy. That is not the same thing as not supporting their country. And very many people understand that "God" isn't real, so why on Earth should they waste their breaths on a sentiment they're perfectly entitled to regard as nonsensical?
On this rememberance weekend, I do not wish to hear the disrespectful rantings of a bitter man like yourself.

Suffice it to say that if I had thought I was joining the Army to in any way give you a platform to abuse the Monarch and what this country stands for I may well have not taken the Queens shilling.

I might also add that better, more literate military personnel of my generation would have put you firmly in place should you have spoken ill of the Queen/King in there presence.

I do not consider myself religious but I can assure you that I have prayed many times outside of church when I though I was going to be killed,I expect you would have to "a drowning man will grasp at straws".

Why? Are you suggesting that he or anyone isn't allowed an opinion just because you're listening? Are we not allowed an opinion where are tax money is spent. Id rather have my money burnt than a single pound going to keeping him and his ilk.

Stephen is an MP. While he is free to dispense with a god he doesn’t believe in, he still made a solemn affirmation of allegiance to the king to seat in Parliament. Which is also why there are no Sinn Fein representatives.

Can`t believe folks can be bothered to squabble over the National Anthem or over-interpret it.
I'm not overthinking it. I'm certainly not over-interpreting it; the meaning is explicit. It's an interesting topic. It's a facet of our national life that needs to be replaced.

But since you evidently don't think it's worthy of discussion, can I gently suggest you find something else to occupy your time with?

Nothing to do with hate or bile, just rational argument. And frankly I'll speak ill of Charles any time and any where I please, and I couldn't give the slightest toss whether you and the entire armed forces, past or present don't like it. I'll reserve respect for those institutions that deserve it. You take your own nonsense elsewhere.

Plenty of physical and mental activity to occupy me, I just find it amusing and somewhat sad that someone can get so hung up over such a triviality.

It's anything but trivial if you take the time to think about it.
But then you probably have better things to do.
