That looks absolutely GREAT! Love the super compressor style. I keep looking at the JLC Polaris but maybe a CW would fit the bill? My main issue is thickness (I try to go under 13mm and the C65 is just on the wrong side of that but hopefully not enough to be a problem). How is timekeeping? Super compressor elite is within COSC but 50% more RRP than yours I think AND thicker at 13.75mm.

In truth its not really a super compressor but the internal bezel is actually a compass...that I've never used.

13.05mm, so just a gnats over, but that is due to a domed crystal. My wrist is only 6.5 inches, so pretty small.

My C65 super compressor was one of my best watches and the timekeeping was fantastic. It felt a very special watch with it being a genuine s/c. Mine was one of those with the offset dial writing which drove me mad and ultimately to sell it. I’d definitely have another.

Yep, a few of us on here bought them around 3 years ago when CW discontinued the brown dial version and sold them off at a discount. I kept mine and still really enjoy wearing it in rotation. I tend not to flip though.

Timekeeping is still great after 3 years.

I used to have the brown CW and it was a lovely watch. Here are my two, although the non-date Longines is Super Compressor style. The Ancre is from 1968 and I wouldn't let it get anywhere near water now!

Those 2 are lovely,so a super compressor means an internal bezel?

    Why that name?

Not 100% that is a true sc. The case is slightly different and the crystal not quite so domed and thick, nor does it have the cross hatched crowns. It looks the part though.

I've had a few others, a Hamilton a delvina and another I've forgotten.

SteveDDSD - that Ancre is sweet, I enjoy it each time I see a photo.

I only have one SC, this Fortis Marine Master. It has cross hatch on the pushers and the diving helmet on the case back.

No. Many watches have internal bezels but aren’t super compressors. A s/c uses a special spring gasket that allows the case and caseback to compress to increase water resistance the deeper the watch goes.

It’s fascinating stuff. Have a read about theirs on the C Ward website and you’ll realise why there aren’t many around these days.

That Fortis is absolutely stunning, what a lovely dial. The Worn and Wound article is the best I've seen on SC's.

Some fantastic SC's being posted in the thread, new and vintage.

Not sure if it’s a super compressor but always thought it was a compressor case, anyway here’s my contribution

Apologies for being lazy and not coming up with fresh photos but this was, and to a great extent is still, my super compressor 'collection'; the only change being the departure of the white and black Enicar.
(I would have reduced the linked thread to just my post/s, but being an old fart can't work out how!)

This 'article' replicates some material already available, but adds a bit more detail:

Not a compressor, screw down crown & cashback, but has the cross-hatching on the twin crowns.
    With lume shot.

During the course of my ongoing (it feels like never ending) tidy up/clearance I came across this 'spare' super compressor case back in a drawer - I've no idea what watch it was from but it does clearly show the EPSA logo etc. on the inside and how, all too often, any identifying marks on the case backs are worn away over time.

I currently only have one Super Compressor in my collection.
    A 1964 Nevada Grenchen Depthomatic.

The inside of the caseback shows the ESPA markings and is dated 10-64, so only 10 months younger than me!

Nevada Grenchen introduced the Depthomatic, the first watch in the world to incorporate an integrated depth meter, in 1964. The depth meter works by water entering the thin plastic tube that can be seen between the crystal and the outer bezel and the depth being read off the scale on the bezel.
The Nevada Grenchen Depthomatic was one of the watches that featured in the Jacque Cousteau Calypso series that those of us of a certain age remember from TV. The Nivada Depthomatic, which was frequently seen on Bernard Delmotte´s wrist. Below are a couple of shots from the series with Bernard sporting his Depthomatic.

That’s absolutely superb. My Helvetia Depthomatic is essentially a rebadged Nevada Grenchen. It’s about 5 years later and not a super compressor, but the depth gauge is identical. Lovely to see your one, the original as it were.

I loved the Cousteau films as well as a child in the ‘70s. They are still available on YouTube.

Weedram. That Depthomatic is really nice. I'd never seen one before, but that's the beauty of this forum, so many unusual watches with corresponding interesting posts.

I've had this one rattling around in a drawer since 2019.

    Signed compressor crown

    And the all important caseback.

It's quite a big thing at 42mm and 22mm lugs

Proper EPSA SC here! I love a LIP
