For those tearing their hair out with the Tapatalk emoji bug for me it looks like the issue is only on Tapatalk Pro on iOS, not Tapatalk regular.
Tapatalk Pro was last updated 3 years ago so I don’t it will be fixed anytime soon.
Tapatalk regular seems to be updated constantly and works when typing numbers - 1234566890
I have both running with notifications off and think I’ll just use the Pro when uploading pictures.

I’m glad I’m not the only one to have experienced the Emoji annoyance when posting.
I updated my version of Tapatalk in iOS and that seemed to fix the issue. I guess I have the non pro version based on your observations.

Haven’t noticed any issue using the regular but from memory I think the photos will be potato quality
Think Pro is £10 now.
Confusingly, there’s also VIP access to the standard app - what I use and also £10.
Except for the number seven, or so it seems.
