Wow ! That's a level of style that we don't often see in watchmaking today - let's hope the big brands spotted it too.
It's probably my old eyes, but is that dial a bit wonky, the 12 position seems offset to the right !?
I'm just browsing an auction of the contents of the estate of Fred Crampon - presumably a noted watchmaker and collector? Anyway nothing really excited me and it's mostly old pocket watches but I stumbled across this, a 1930s Rolex Prince with yellow and white gold "tiger stripe" case.
I've tried the modern Prince and felt it was too small (although at the time I was wearing a 47mm Breitling Super Avenger as my daily!) but even so, this is a stunner.
I thought I'd post a pic as I've never seen one before, or even knew of its existence. I thought they just came in plain yellow, white or rose.
With the centre batons properly polished up this would look a million dollars, I love it.

Personally I think that has a face (& case) only a mother could love! I get the rarity but style is still in the eye of the beholder. Nice find though!
The striped Prince cased Rolexes have always been well sought after.
Lovely things.
Cheers,
Neil.
Mike Wood has several of these (like most things)
With equally rare boxes too.
There's also the more-modern (well, late 1980s onwards), three tone Tridors.
