There is a speedy for everyone, sold gold to the swatch plastic it really is a watch for all the people
I have two pro versions and intend on giving my son one of those on his next milestone birthday
Also had a couple of swatch versions which are great

I still don’t get the speedy - owned a couple and neither lasted more than a week before I returned them. I really wanted to like them but the design felt old fashioned to me as opposed to classic, and whenever I see one on someone’s wrist now I think ‘old space nerd’ as opposed to ‘cool watch’!

Oddly almost 2yrs ago, really wanted one, managed to get one with a nice size discount of retail before a price hike (think they’ve had 2 since), owned for a bout 2 weeks before I returned and traded for a Carrera.

Didn’t at all feel premium enough for the money & that was the sapphire sandwich.

Now regret that decision as the Carrera didn’t last long and traded for a Monaco - which in itself lasted 8m.

95% certain I now want a Speedy back, just waiting for the extra money to get one & the right deal (aren’t we always)

That’s my experience - which I repeated just like you - albeit about 15 years ago when there was plenty of fun to be had from £1500. I’ve never regretted it after the second one, although in pictures I still think they look amazing, irl I’m underwhelmed

I have three, a MoonSwatch started it all, then a week later two, yes two professionals!
Popped along to the Omega Boutique in Nottingham tried on both the more to the original hesalite solid case back and the sapphire with display back. Both on the bracelet and leather.

Finally, after a couple of hours, I chose the sapphire with display back, but still couldn't choose between leather or bracelet. Luckily enough I was in a position of not having to choose, so bought both. Love 'em.

The those buggers at Swatch released the Blancpain Ocean of Storms, but that's a different story for another time. Let's just say it's been an expensive, but enjoyable 3 months.

And this post shows that the Marketing boss at Omega know their onions!

MoonSwatches are the gateway drug to the MoonWatch!

I’m still struggling to love my DSOM. Is it a ‘real’ speedy … not sure. Maybe time to move it on.
