An update of the PRS-8 Richmond Spencer.
• 42mm, 46mm including crown.
• Unitas 6498 extensively modified with screwed Glucydur balance with Nivarox hairspring, swan-neck regulator, ¾ top plate with Geneva Stripes and blued screws.
• Alligator grain calf leather strap fitted with signed buckle.
There's a bit of a story to this. It started life as the Armstrong Siddeley which is my most unsuccessful watch ever. My accountant kept banging on about liquidating slow moving stock (annoying). I didn't think that reducing the price of the Armstrong Siddeley would make it moore popular so I decided to remanufacture as the Richmond Spencer.
The movements have been serviced, new dial, hands and caseback were fitted. I definitely paid too much for the highly modified movement and the Richmond Spencer is now priced at £485 which is £126.66 LESS than my actual cost. It's priced to sell because £50K in the bank is better than £70K of stock in the cupboard.
Whilst a Richmond Spencer may be made again in the future, it will never be made again to this specification.

Honestly Eddie - this is a fantastic watch. I used to have a Dornblueth 99.1, and this watch is a strong competitor in terms of movement finishing and dial/hand quality. Hopefully the lug-to-lug is reasonable given the large diameter.
Just received the watch from many time zones away in just 3 days.
It is gorgeous. Movement is pretty. The case sides are satin smooth. Very well made overall.
It doesn't wear big on my 7 inch wrist. I thought it would but when I noticed that the dimensions were similar to my 1st gen Zelos Skyraider, it was a no brainer to hit buy the instant the store opened.
I'm also chuffed to get no 02/90. This is watch number 6 from TimeFactors.com in my collection. All in frequent rotation. I missed out on the WWW but that would be watch number 7 when it appears next year.
Is there one thing I would change? Yes, the crown, its hard to grip and wind. Something bigger would have been great as it would be far more satisfying.

Despite his atrociously spelt tale of fawning adoration for the piece and regret that he doesn’t have a lifestyle to match it’s elegance, I see the absolute scalper has also doubled the price.

The original version has a larger crown.
Crown looks proportional to me for a dress watch. When you compare, the old version looked a bit clunky for the rest of the watch. I really can't fault this one...looks like an absolute bargain for the specs!
