Had this for over 30 years but is rarely out of the safe. However I fancied a bit of "bling" today

    Cheers

An engagement present from the current Mrs Stiglet over 32 years ago . A bit dated now but wearing well and still has a degree of class and charm and is on my arm for formal dinners and special occasions

    As is the watch

My recently acquired SLA061, the “black edition” Willard from Seiko’s higher end of the range. I really like it, the orange highlights save it from being completely “Disaster Area’s stunt spaceship” and the finishing is really very good, a nice blend of brushed and polished surfaces. The movement (an 8L35) is performing well, running a steady +4 spd which is well within spec and I’m glad that contrary to Internet Wisdom, these movements can perform perfectly well out of the box.

The real highlight for me is the dial, it has a lovely almost Snowflake-ish texture which is a swine to photograph but adds real depth to the dial. One of 1000 made, so properly “limited”.

Anyway - have a lovely weekend all, and I shall try not to be too jealous of ed335d’s gorgeous Heuer…

What's the strap on that Nomos, please? Looks interesting.

    Timex Tide and Compass watch.

Excuse the straggly strap, I need to tidy it up where it was cut to fit the odd lug size.
