There is a different sub forum for lost and found, might be a good idea to post there also, sorry you got stolen hope you find it

Much appreciated, thanks for the pointer. Posted there.
I remember your incoming post for that. Sorry to hear it was taken from you and hope the actual event wasn’t violent or traumatic. Best of luck with the recovery.
Thanks all. Apologies again for the unintentional double post, just adding CRN details here as search engines have already indexed this.
Appreciate the well wishes and positive thoughts. I'll likely add more colour on the incident by way of a bump to the other thread once I've heard from the relevant unit at the Met (simply because I'm unsure what they might not want to be in the public domain at this point either from a legal or purely operational perspective).
Hopefully whoever's received this stolen good has by now realised it might simply be best to dispose of it by anonymously returning it to the police as found property.
Sorry to hear that. A sensationally understated watch with exquisite blue dial. Hope it somehow finds its way back to you

Sorry to hear this news for you, it really is quite traumatic but seems to be getting worse
unfortunately I was robbed myself in London, Mayfair 3 weeks back for my 5968G blue white gold Aquanaut at 5pm on a Saturday whilst walking with my wife, so be careful out there everyone, to the original OP I don’t know if you were robed or what the circumstances where of the theft you suffered.
Take care
Tony

Sorry chaps for reading both your stories.
I hope that you were not hurt and that the timepieces were insured.
There used to be a time when these scum just recognised Rolex watches. Now they seem to have educated themselves!!!
the new owner will be in for a surprise one day when he sends this to be serviced by PP and then never sees it again
What would happen then?
It would be "owned" by the insurance company who paid out, and I doubt AXA or whoever has much use for a high end watch internal.
And the serial means it is burned/exposed as stolen, so thrown in the bin?
Or reincarnated by PP with new numbers?
Dumb question time: Was the entire watch pinched or just the movement? It wasn’t that long ago that the OP bought the watch and posted a picture in the incoming thread. Surely it’s the whole watch that was taken?
In my case yes the watch was taken, as was the OP,s
