Yeah I’ve had those warning emails too. There has to be quality upgrades to justify those price increases or surely it’s the end for them.
The no date Newmark 6BB quartz chronograph reissue previously was £299, and starting today appears to be £500. The date version is £50 more:

Newmark has been warning for several months that they are restocking and manufacturing costs have risen.
It is not clear whether the incoming batch will have the same specs as before. At some point the 6BB went from acrylic crystal to sapphire, and steel handset to white. At £500 a movement upgrade to add running seconds would be nice, but I have not seen any mention of that.

That is a big price hike. Glad I didn’t sell my plexi version now.
Looking at the specs on the website it seems there are no upgrades?

Threw mine on today:
Maybe Newmark is planning on sales, discount codes and such?
I agree, looking at the website there doesn't seem to be any further upgrades to justify the huge price increase......I still have the plexi version with 50m WR where as the new model seems to have the same specs, movement as before the price hike.
So as you say, could be a problem for Newmark going forward...
At below 300 it is a nice watch above 500 it’s just not worth it IMO
I have one from the very first release
A nice watch for sure but I have worn it twice I think - it’s still on the original battery.
I own one of the 71's. a really nice looking watch and well worth the money imo.
Yes, they shared this last year:

Ah...I thought I remember the previous owner being on here and when I went to remind myself who owned the company yesterday, I'd seen that it was owned by a Mr Newmark. Was starting to wonder if I'd dreamt up the previous ownership!
Personally, I think such a large price increase is risky...I know many people would happily spend £300 on a microbrand without much thought but above £500 becomes less of an impulse buy and now you start to compare them with lower tier Swiss brands like Certina/Hamilton etc.
I've never owned one, but I do like their designs.

I have the DLC version of the 71, from when Ewan was still driving it. Excellent watch, and superb value.
I never really liked the chronos, that 24-hr slave sub-dial is a total waste of space imho, so the price rise is immaterial to me, but the fact that it is now more than the 71 seems a little strange.....
Slightly OT: I really like my 6BB but have cracked the plexi; does anyone here know what crystal these take?
