    Meteor shower 11-13 Aug

Anyone see the meteor shower last night? I was peering out the window around 1am and spotted about five shooting stars in a 10 minutes. They should appear more regularly tonight however cloud cover might stop the view.

Having missed the Northern Lights earlier in the year despite my neighbours shouting up at my window, I missed these last night.

Will have a look at cloud cover and if it is ok might take a drive somewhere without as much light pollution. Not seen a shooting star in years.

I got a message on my phone around 0400 of a red alert for the Aurora, and thought it might be one of those opportunities to capture the Aurora and Perseids in the same sky, alas I saw neither!

I was on the A1 north in North Yorkshire just after midnight and there were quite a few shooting stars going west to east.

I happened to be camping out with the Boy in the fields of Devon the night of the 12th. We lay out in the open for half an hour and we're treated to a pretty spectacular display. Some were more like fireworks rather than shooting stars.

If we'd have stayed up another we may have seen the Northern Lights. Missed them again.
