A few impressions of the SBIII

Just taken a few shots with my cellphone (on the car seat  ). Just to give you some impressions:

It's on a thick Di-Model Jumbo at the moment. And notice the sharp edges!

    Wrist shots:

And here a Quad 10 for comparison:

I'll do a full comparison with the Quad 10 on the WE ;-)
I'm not as think as you drunk I am.

Dunno Jon, but pretty small. Bit like this:

Actually, the dial is very large. Wears much larger than the 40mm Quad 10.

Eddie has seriously done himself proud with this one. It's a stunner.

    Few new ones:

As mentioned, the dial sits very high in the case. Not quite UX but adds to the rather 'bulky' design!

On the wrist from a different angle:

Unfortunately (and unlike what seems like 99% of people on the forum) this style of watch isn't to my taste - but a friend has an IWC MK XV, and from the shots of seen of the watch 'in the field' it looks extremely IWC -esque

    For just over £300 that's fantastic :D

That's a nice set of lugs you have there!

    Good pictures, too.

    Best wishes,

It's a lovely watch of that there is no doubt. Personally I am unlikely to reach for my credit card for three reasons:

    a) The sterile dial is a little too sterile for my taste. I would prefer the Precista logo at 12 and Speedbird III at six - but that's just me!

    b) I am eagerly awaiting news on the "quietly ticking" Vanguard model.

    c) I'm skint!!

Congratulations to all owners of the SB3 and especially to Eddie for producing an outstanding timepiece at a very affordable price point. :thumbright:

    Cheers
    David

With 2 years guarantee, that wouldn't matter :)

Got mine this afternoon, its beautiful :bounce:

A really nice touch, is the "TimeFactors" engraved strap changing tool, high quality too :)

P.S. I am not changing that bracelet, not only does it look really good, it looks like a b*gger to get back on!

    This I hadn't noticed!

1 problem with the strap changing tool - comes with the 'big' end not the little, therefore not of much use unless you got a little bergeon end floating around.. like me.

    But bracelet staying on.

And also, did it go on OK? I noticed that there isn't a ton of room twixt bar and case - I was wondering how it would work with leather straps.

Thank you kindly! I admit I was gutted last week in failing to get one through a computer glich. No problem today though! One thing I do not fully get is that I have bought watches many times the price of this and not been so excited! Wear yours in good health my friend!

I'm still glad you got one, KavKav, but as for myself, I was reminded last Saturday, after looking up the meaning of the word "....Unfortunately...." in the Dictionary, that I happen to have flunked my "How To Quickly And Properly Fill Out An Order Form Without Having To Go Back And Do It All Over Again 101" course back in school. Still, young innocent child that I was at the time, I really must learn to face the fact that I was the obvious victim of grossly incompeteant instructors. :|

 Look on the bright side--If you're U.S based, the strengthening dollar over the past week will get you a non chronometer grade SBIII at a discount!

You're right, Goz211, I guess the next batch of SB3 is already available for ordering now----I thought when he mentioned getting one, KavKav meant that Raysablade or someone had given over one of the first 50 to him. Enjoy yours too.
