Best place to sell a private car reg?

The Mr's is wanting to sell her private car registration so was wondering if anybody knew any decent places that would buy it, or sell it on for her. I've had one quote from an online place but has anybody used one they could reccomend?

    Thanks all.

It rather depends what the plate is as youíll want to sell via different means depending on that.

For example, if itís X1, youíll probably want a Sothebyís or Christieís auction, but if itís BX58 PAT then you might be best using eBay, Facebook groups and here.

I bought via Regtransfers. Might be worth a look. Believe you can either sell directly to them (if they want it and you like their price), or sell through them to the public for a cut of the sale price.

Iíd suggest you get a quote from Reg Transfers and similar, which would be the equivalent of we buy any car. That gives you a trade baseline to which you could maybe add 10-25 percent and post on Facebook and Gumtree for free. We sold a couple of registrations that way, though to be fair it was 10+ years ago

Iíve both bought and sold through BoldReg and had good experiences. i believe theyíre a smaller personalised reg dealer. Iíd certainly go back to them if I was ever in the market again for a vanity plate.

The quote I got was from Regtransfers so might do as suggested above and add a small percentage and try to sell privately. It's not by any means a very expensive plate, but it's not at the bottom end either. Thanks for all the advice🙂

He may not wish to link his number plate to his TZUK account. That's his choice to make.
