Very odd behaviour from an adult.

Bringing up deaths from 40 years ago on an internet forum.

Expect that from 13/14 year olds in their box rooms, really strange when adult men do it.

Oh right, mentioning Citys charges and Kyle Walker being overrated is the same ?

First bit very likely but the Premier League appealing not so sure? They didn't kick back against Everton when their point deduction was reduced.

Oh I have no doubt they will appeal but the initial findings will be interesting regardless.

I expect the UAE sovereign wealth fund will be (already is?) used to drown the premier league in legal battles until the PL run out of money. That’s assuming the 115 ruling goes against them of course.

A few royals with suitcases full of money could pay off the officials and make sure the charges go away, but that sort of thing would never happen.

Because this is what actually happens.
There are shady blokes in shamags and sunglasses with bags full,of twenty pound notes waiting on various street corners preparing to pay off unsuspecting PL bods/referees/opposition management etc etc .

Sit back and have a word with yourself .

Lesson well and truly learned for Slot. What a herculean effort from Argyle.

Postecoglou was appointed on the 6th of June, 2023. That's 614 days ago.

The perceived wisdom, propagated by the experts on here & in the mainstream media, was that he wouldn't make it to Christmas 2023.

    He's still in post.

    Experts, eh?

The Belgian Brainiac, Phillipe Clement, may be available after lunch tomorrow.

The fact Spurs' own fans cheered on their opponents so Arsenal couldn't win the league, despite the fact it cost them Champions League football means they deserve everything they get. That lost revenue and no Champions League meant they couldn't sign top class players meaning they've had to bring in sub top-tier players like Solanke etc and spend a load of money on other average players that they'll never recoup. They won't be in the CL any time soon.

Solanke would start for Arsenal. You’re clearly having a laugh.

Villa have been a class above Spurs all game. I don’t know how long Ange can survive now as 21 defeats in 46 games is horrible.

When I saw the Liverpool team sheet I had a moment of doubt, mainly due to Gomez being included for his first start since whenever. Why?

But I quickly reasoned that there were seasoned campaigners in the team, with a fair amount of guile and skill, so settled down for another easy day at the Slot machine.

    Jesus, how wrong was I?

After 20 minutes I was thinking, 'It's alright, we're just finding our feet.'

After 45 minutes I was thinking, 'Plymouth look well organised and up for it, but Slot will sort it out at half time.'

By the 60th minute I was thinking, 'Plymouth are going to win this.'

They were honest and strong, and didn't give us a second. And I'm not even pissed off because I was putting myself in their shoes and loving it.

I was reading the manager's back story yesterday and if anyone deserves this win, it's him.

Anyway, that's the last time Slot will be playing half a side this season.

I still back Ange. This run has been poor by any measure, but the injuries to first team players have forced him to field multiple teenagers repeatedly. These youngsters appear leggy (and have every right to be), but are broadening the strength in depth of the squad. I hope Ange will be around long enough to benefit from such.

I’ve said this before, I like Ange as a man. I think he’s had a very rough deal with injuries and on that basis he shouldn’t be sacked. However, is it merely delaying the inevitable? He’s never going to be a success in the EPL as his philosophy and tactics are crazy.

If Ange had Vinicius Jr, Salah, Saka, Isak, Mbappe, Yamal and Musiala as his forwards/midfielders it might just pay off as they'd probably score more than the huge number of goals they concede. As it stands Spurs don't have anything like that attacking prowess so they will continue to mostly get Bukkake'd with the odd surprise win (usually against Manchester City) thrown into the mix.

I'm with Ange as well. I quote...

[It's been] Two and a half months of asking 17-year-olds, 18-year-olds and senior players with no rest to play Thursday and Sunday [every week]. If you think that is not at all a factor in how this team is performing, then there's nothing else I can say," said Postecoglou.

I think this group of players, once we get the rest of the group in, will be an outstanding team. I have no doubt about that. Whether other people can see that is of no interest to me.
We've been playing with 10-12 first team players out for nearly three months. I'd like to see any other premiership team manage that without similar consequences.

(As an aside I thought we played a pretty heroic second half last night, given the circumstances. Shame a superb performance from Kinski was blighted by that early error.)

Manchester too. The Premiership is generally weaker than it was IMO.

I think the premiership is stronger overall the weaker teams are not longer “weak” and any given week you can see a lower team beat the top teams which wasn’t the case a decade or so back, what has happened is the maverick nature of football has been slowly removed with this relentless desire for control and efficiency.

Imagine how shackled some of the players that made us all love football when younger would be now - football used to be sprinkled with more ( for want of a better word) magic.

Possibly. I'm not sure that a general levelling up with a poorer than previous upper quartile is all good, though.

Interesting talking point, if nothing else.

How many of the injuries could be attributed to his methods and style of play? celtic.were ravaged under his leadership and now spurs.

This run of form isn't injuries this season alone, it started after Xmas last season. His style was found out by the premier league in a dozen games.

What absolute hogwash. Did you watch yesterday's game (never mind any of his others)? He's absolutely superb for his age, and Vicario will struggle to re-establish himself.

As for looking like "a rabbit in the headlights"... PSML. The opposite is true.

I thought he played very well, and was the main reason we didn't win by 3 or 4. I guess if you're going to make a mistake like that, it's likely to come early on in the match like it did, before he'd got settled. I'm sure he'll be a very good keeper in the future. Martinez has had quite a poor season for us by his own high standards, and we can't seem to keep a clean sheet to save our lives, although obvipously being without defenders Cash (injured), Konsa (injured) Mings (injured) Carlos (sold), Torres (injured) and Disasi (cup tied) really doesn't help. Lots of attacking options for us now though, so we may have to utilise the long lost Ossie Ardiles 2-3-5 formation.

The PL is probably stronger than it's ever been before. There are very few 'gimme' games (Spurs aside). That's what I don't understand some of the narrative around this season being a 'missed' opportunity for Arsenal because City are off the boil. Liverpool are currently pacing towards 93 points which is a tremendous tally and would have won the title for 4 of the last 5 seasons and the other season was won with a total of 99 points by Liverpool! So by any measurement this is an elite Liverpool team who rank among the best teams to win the title alongside the Liverpool team that got 99 points and the Man City Centurions.

And they've done this playing more difficult teams than there have ever been before.

I’d argue his almost too over confident which isn’t a bad thing at all for his age and once he finds the right balance I think he will become Tottenhams default No1.

Great ‘keeper, just the wrong type of keeper for arteta and his desire for absolute control. While he maybe a better shot stopper than Raya ( debatable based on some of worldies that Raya has pulled out this season ) he isn’t as comfortable with the ball at his feet is why I reckon we moved him on - the question was why did we replace him with Ramsdale before Raya

Eh? Where are you getting your information about Celtic’s injury history under the previous manager from? It was nothing out of the ordinary during his two seasons there.
