I agree he’s a good signing, but again we are not signing a striker!

Great second half there, if only Jota could stay fit

Good set of results for Arsenal last night, we just need to beat Spurs, which on current form may be difficult!
It’s nice watching other teams score from open play with some flowing quick football, something we lack

Forget it- we're not making up 9 points on Liverpool without our attackers. Where are the goals going to come from to outgun Liverpool by 9 points over the rest of the season?
We'll probably beat Spurs tonight (Gabriel from a corner) but over the rest of the season won't make up the points as we can't score enough goals.
They aren't, I am not sure we will even beat Spurs. Unless Arteta gets a striker in this window we will fade away and maybe finish 3rd or 4th.
A lot of rumours about Nico Williams, I don't get why he is still at Bilbao, with a small release clause (£50mil), had an outstanding summer, after the tournament he would have been the player everyone wanted but no one went for. He would be perfect for our left wing, if he does come that is.
Great point for forest and a very good watch - I hope they can maintain there form as its great for the neutral to see an underdog perform with the big boys - no doubt Liverpool a class above everyone else at the minute - good start for Potter at W Ham though Fulham really should have been out of sight and Brentford again decent at home (Great value that season ticket)
Im looking forward to the NLD this evening and hoping Spurs can continue to rattle Arsenal which will no doubt tip the gooners over the edge

It's frustrating as last season's Arsenal team pips this season's Liverpool side to the title. But the injuries and fact that teams have figured out how to play against us, plus players being out of form has been painful.
It could change though and getting a frontman in would help a lot. Liverpool didn't look great vs Forest last night.
Match of the Day presenters announced

As depleted as they are Bergavile and Gray are absolute ballers.
Thought we had weathered the storm but got mugged by the ref for the corner and then Bissouma messed up.
As usual we should be out of sight but still in jeopardy. 2-2 incoming.
The fact we are 2nd shows how poor the league is this season.
Last season's Arsenal team win this season's PL (obviously based on the assumption last season's City don't turn up else we're back to square one).
The fact we are 2nd playing like this with so many injuries and Liverpool are just 4 points ahead of us is pretty damning on the quality of the current Liverpool team vs previous PL winners. Last season's City win this season's PL by 10 points.
Needing a refereeing howler to squeak past Tottenham's C team just after losing to a 10 man United side doesn't bode well for a title challenge - striker please Mikel.
It's looking more like extreme stubbornness by Arteta now. Pep won the league without a striker and I will too.
What about, and hear me out, Harry Kane returning to his boyhood club? Arsenal finish second this season and Bayern win the league, getting Kane the trophy he craves. In the summer Arsenal sign Zubimendi as the six, replacing 'number 5' and enabling Rice to play further forward. They upgrade Martinelli and bring in Kane. That'd be some team! I'd back that team to win the league.

Not sure if anyone saw Micah Richards highlighting Haaland being a lazy fraud last night when City were trying to defend a lead.
Walking about the midfield closing down nothing and just letting Brentford build and attack from the half way line.
If I was a city fan I would be raging at that lack of commitment.
Should have been subbed immediately.
Interesting, I've not seen those rumours. Mbuemo is a top player that I'd love us to sign. I'm not sure about Gyokeres though. Sure he's having a purple patch in a piss poor league but I've watched him a few times in the championship and he was less than average. The EPL is a massive step up.
We should go for Williams, and Osimhen, both would be available and add to the team. I am not sure about Gyokeres, yes he scored a lot , but so did Nunez and we know how that is working out. He is a bit of a risk tbh.
But as you said anything is a step up from Havertz - He was awful last night, missed two headers and was a ghost 90% of the match, he just wonders around looking sad and dejected. I am glad you have finally seen what he is, at the start of the season you were defending him.
meant to come back to this
after 20 games this season the top team has 47 points, second has 43 and and third 41, last season it was 45, 43 and 42.
I am not sure where this narrative has come from about the league being poor this season has come from. The winner will be close to 90 points.
Maybe .
Or maybe , he’s not chasing back or closing down because that’s not his role in the team . Run round the base of the midfield chasing shadows for a while and then Micah Richards would be lamenting his inability to chase down a one on one a few minutes later. I’ve watched enough of Haaland to know that he does care about his performances . He’s usually fired up for the games and leaves a lot on the pitch.
A gurning media clown won’t convince me otherwise.
Do you honestly believe Pep would leave him out there if he was just ambling around ?
Top team has 47 points after 20 games, which extrapolates to 89 after 38.
2nd has 43 after 21, which extrapolates to 78, and 3rd has 41 after 21 which extrapolates to 74.
So 89/78/74 vs last season's 91/89/82.
So I'd say the chasing pack are definitely offering far less of a challenge to the team at the top than last year, even if the leaders are more or less in the same ball park as last year's Champions.
United will turn this around once VAR comes on.
Im not sure I understand what that even means.
Despite being the only football team ever to give up a late two goal lead, there were more things for City fans to worry about than Haaland not chasing man and ball across yards of the pitch .
Brentford are an extraordinarily good football team and their home record is generally very strong. They dominated City for the first 25 minutes and never gave up their excellent passing game. City are without the best DM in world football, two of the Premier Leagues best centre halves , a number of players playing out of position and a squad where it seems the last four years performances have finally caught up with them . No dramas, I’m sure we will be on the up again soon .
For Richard’s to only call out Haaland is both embarrassing and fully expected because of who it is.
For Brentford’s two goals , there were a number of poor mistakes by different players. Bernardo should’ve headed clear, Ake and Akanji could’ve cleared it twice each, the keeper should’ve stopped the second goal etc etc . In between the goals, City had two clear cut chances , both you would’ve expected the players to s ore . Again , it happens .
Are they booing again at Old Trafford ?
Who do they think they are, Liverpool fans ?
Haaland has just signed a 9.5 year contract with City.
Chelsea management is fuming.
