Not a penalty,it’s getting very hard to be a defender nowadays.

Norman bites yer legs and Chopper Harris would be sent off in minutes (though they where the extreme).

I hear you but it was the officials decision so out of our control?

Sometimes the decision goes against you, sometimes they go for you.

    Koemans 'yellow' card for example...

Most blatant pen I’ve seen all year.

    Are you even English?

The defenders foot was high and didn’t get near the ball. The only way that Kane wasn’t going to hit the defenders studs was if he didn’t take the shot.

That’s a penalty in my book.

Would you both be as single minded if that penalty was awarded to the Dutch.

This is the first match of this competition that England look like they want it, a proper change of attitude, great to see.

Yes Ken, I would. If it had been the Dutch and not awarded I’d have felt they were badly done to.

Utter bollocks. Kane didn’t appeal for it. That contact really hurts and his reaction wasn’t exaggerated. It was never a pen for me though.

Best we’ve played for a couple of years, since the World Cup.

  14. #1164
Yep, thats the best 45 mins I've seen England play in the last couple of years, more of the same please in the 2nd half and see where it takes us...

Couldn't have hurt that much, he struck the penalty apparently unphased, no sign of a limp or even a twinge afterwards... Aside agreed never a penalty.

1st Dutch goal.was a foul on Rice so it evens out.

Foden playing well. Trippier is the weak link.

Tripper has been excellent again tonight. He’s been excellent all tournament despite playing on the wrong side of the pitch. Outstanding.

4 shots on goal. Probably more than the last 2 games combined.

Really good performance, Foden finally looking like the same player that we see week in week out in the Prem.

Harsh pen perhaps but by the letter of the law probably correct. Whether the law is right is another matter. I think the defender should have licence to block the shot but in this case he gets in the way of Kane getting a clear shot.

Great half but England need to be careful as it's 3 on 3 every time the Netherlands intercept.

I couldn’t believe he said that, how on earth was it reckless?

Wrighty reckons it was ‘reckless’. Games gone if that’s reckless. May as well just go the whole hog and make it a total non-contact sport.

An amazing recovery eh, he had missed before any defender contact. I do not follow football, but that cannot have been a fowl in any sense of the rules. Utter joke of diving, falling over and playing hurt vs what the ladies game is.

Absolutely serious. Defensively spot on and supports well going forward. He’s not going to fly past someone and cross with his left the way he does with his right or the way a left footer would. For someone playing at this level and at this stage of a tournament as a left back when he’s right footed is so difficult. Name me one other fullback that’s done that.

He has because the left footer is capable of playing 45 minutes.

Wait your hurry, it’s Southgate remember, 88 mins. Don’t want to be giving the guy time to actually do something.

It's a little flat after a great first half. Toney on for Kane would inject a little energy back into this. F**k, while I'm at it, TAA on for Kyle Walker.

The Gillette advert on ITV reminded me of the original advert from 1989.

I’ve just YouTubed the advert and it’s absolutely superb.

Here it is compared to the 2019 Gillette advert.

The 2019 version, I’m lost for words.

Funny, my thoughts when watching it were "I might switch to Wilkinson Sword". I don't appreciate being preached at.

Shaw can’t even run. He hasn’t gone down the line behind the fullback once.

Watkins on for 10 minutes, plus 30 extra time. Bowen should be on too.

The new Michael Kiwanuka track is great, very promising for his next album. I've had that on and the football volume down until the penalties.

Stones heads out, ref gives a goal kick and VVD gets booked for questioning it.
