    Royal Mail compensation decrease

Just checked the cost for a small envelope I want to send worth about £40.
I knew the price had increased at the beginning of the month but have just noticed that
signed for compensation amount has dropped from £50 to £20.

I suppose they’ve got to build their “reimburse the subbies” fund from somewhere.

    You’re right,
Tracked is cheaper with £150 compensation.

The weasels comment was about their other headline antics

    RM is not PO.

I think the current fiasco was all orchestrated before they became separate entities, but you’re right, the price rise of the current RM is not to bolster the PO war chest.
    I am corrected.

The amount of changes they make is incredibly annoying now, i predict that they will mess with sizes and weights next so that all the parcel size limits are shrunk down

Just imagine though if we didn't have RMSD, relying on courier companies and paying a much higher price for 'hit and miss' deliveries.......

Thoroughly agree, RMSD is the mutts nuts for the majority of wis postal journeys.

Also discovered today that the post office no longer print QR coded labels for Tracked 24/48

You have to print them at home.

    How bizarre,
Our local post office told Mrs W yesterday “we don’t print labels anymore you have to do it at home”

It’s run by a strange couple, I’ve often thought they’re so ‘can’t be arsed’
and that they should get a job they fuckin like
