    One hole only …

Ordered up some custom straps from Colareb.

I’ll punch a single hole and I hope that will be it.

For some reason this isn't the content I thought it was going to be.

Same here, although I'd expect that to be in the Boy's Room.

    Oh well.

I've no idea what you all were hoping to find ... just deciding if I need a 1.5mm or 2mm diameter hole ... if only I had an oval punch ...

Can't say I've ever seen straps arrive without pushed holes before. Seems a bit strange.

I specifically ordered them that way, custom order. I wanted to just have the one hole I need.

Bold man - interested to know if you decide you need a second one e.g. wrist swelling on warm days

Love the idea though - what watch is it for?

It's the same as this one ... I bought the standard strap and have worn it for about a year ... I only use one hole most of the time ... I did punch another one to experiment on the perfect fit so I am hopeful. I will use the old strap as a template, it is identical in all other ways.

I have thin wrists so perhaps less prone to variation with temperature, but I am fussy about the fit.

I will only punch one hole in one strap and see how I go ...

One hole to rule them all, one hole to hold them

I had the leather pieces custom made for a Sinn butterfly deployant. Very small amount of adjustment available on the buckle.

I’m copying the hole position off the identical old strap.

I’m expecting it to be snug whilst it beds in …

    Jobs done.

Looks great to me. Feels a bit snug which is what I wanted/expected as it will soften and bed in a bit.

I would have zero confidence in me putting the whole in exactly the right place

Having used an identical strap for a year I just copied the hole that I’d settled on.

Are you saying he’s good at stretching holes?

Looks odd “off the wrist”, but looks great on the wrist.

It was easy to get the correct location using the old strap as a guide.

Being able to buy a blank from Colareb exactly as per the stock strap meant there was no risk of getting it wrong.

I really like it, kind of minimalist / made to measure.

Won’t you end up needing a summer hole and a winter hole? Or is it just me that has swelled wrists!

I don’t think I will need another hole, time will tell. But if I do I can simply punch another.

I like that. A while back I (briefly) considered doing the same, but never got around to it.
