    Dune Hamilton Ventura Edge

I had seen this particular watch advertised and thought it looked really quite different - and right up my straẞe. Limited edition of 2000, will they be available with a discount in the future? Maybe, but I personally think that they look very cool indeed so, when I saw one at Bluewater today I couldn’t resist trying it on.
Fatal mistake (for the bank account anyway), looked even better on the wrist, especially when the display is fully illuminated. My pictures do not do the watch justice and were taken indoors as the time shows. The box (which I appreciate does not get worn) is really very smart indeed. Initially no discount available (fortunate enough to have blue light/ defence discount card but not applicable to limited editions), charm offensive deployed and decent discount achieved - well one I was happy with anyway.
I appreciate that this watch will be divisive, it absolutely will not be everyone’s cup of char, but this is a watch forum and difference is good (other opinions are available….).
Further pictures to follow tomorrow - weather permitting.

I for one think it’s cool. It feels very cohesive and a logical fit for the Ventura which was always a sci-fi watch design.

Not sure I’d wear one as it’s not my style but then again, I’d say the same about a lot of watches. I like it but don’t need to own it.

Love it, great choice. I could be tempted by one of these, and I'm not even a fan of the book / movie.

Haven’t seen the film myself to be honest :-D, I just like the design of the watch - it’s like having a stealth fighter on your wrist.
    Thanks for the comments all.

That's certainly different to the usual on here
Fair play to you, we aren't here to conform, You like you buy
I was tempted and inspired by a movie for a digital watch a few years ago, a V-TEC SIGMA, I may need to delve into the archives... enjoy

The film is up there with one of my favourites. Love the watch too, wrist shot would be interesting

As requested, the second shot really demonstrates the angles of the case and the raised crystal.

Don’t you just love Hamilton for having the balls to do such as this? Enjoy!

I absolutely love this piece. Almost as much as the books and the films. It's out of my price range at the moment but maybe if a sale code pops up I'd be tempted.

As far as I can tell it only tells the time? No other functions?

    Great looking watch, love it

Often fancied a Ventura, tho' what I'd actually wear is more at the (fat) Elvis end of the spectrum!

    Very cool watch !

Continuing the sci-fi film theme, I always liked the Hamilton X-01 as per 2001 A Space Odyssey.

Not enough to fork out the £2-3K now needed to buy one though !

Yep, I do like that. Being simple (time only) is a positive attribute in my book.
