Vintage Rotary Aquaplunge, and Crufts, content

    Thanks for looking.

The famous dog show Crufts has been on this month, and my brother messaged me last week with this photo.

It's my maternal grandfather, Harry Glover, who judged best in show in 1980, I think. I'd not seen this picture - my brother found it when talking to a friend about Crufts.

I (of course) noticed the watch, and realised that it is the one that has been passed on to me - a vintage Rotary Aquaplunge I've posted previously.

I decided to try it on a Jubilee, as that's what my grandfather did! (Or maybe it's a seven-link BoR, who knows!) It's only a cheapy, but I think it's a good match for the watch.

He died in 1981, I think, so this is a photo from close to the end of his life, and it's as I remember him. It's nice to have the watch.

That's a lovely story and a lovely faded bezel. Thanks for sharing.

What a great picture - obviously enjoying life at the point.

As for the bracelet - Speidel BOR with straight ends I'd guess.

Just fell foul of the delete post glitch whilst trying to edit my typo.

It's brilliant to have such an interesting story to go with the watch.
