Some nice bits on there and the added bonus of just buying what you need…

I think I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to go and pick some up…. Touch and feel

I really liked the maker Franco suggested earlier…

    I’m off to investigate 👍🏼

    I've got 2 sets.

My grandmother got them by collecting box lids from Kellogg's cereal.

Probably wont help, but we bought these ones:

They have a good weight to them, come up great in the dishwasher also being satin don't show blemishes, if you Google you can buy them cheaper and individually.

That's very kind but I think you're confusing me with Dick. But since you ask:

    • Art nouveau set with American silver hallmarks. Germans don't seem to understand these so bought for a relative steal

    • Bauhaus silver set inherited by SWMBO - took me a while to clock the hallmarks and stop her putting them in the bloody dishwasher

    • WMF stainless

    • Villeroy & Boch stainless
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

My parents had the exactly same set (or part of it, at least - I think that you could collect it piece by piece), only monogrammed with "K" obviously.

The forks are still in use daily!

Jeeezus! That's a blast from the past!!!

I remember doing that, but for the life of me- can't remember what you got (but it was for kids for sure)

    :-)

Grandma running the house as a B&B for a while helped with the necessary cereal consumption!

It is like the spork iirc, but with what is fondly imagined to be a cutting edge on each outer tine. Cut they do not, though they make a passable fist of sectionalising a burger.
Pet hate of mine is seeing people chase food around the plate and trying to cut it with a fork. I’m sure some people think they look cool doing it!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
