    Land Line Telephone

Changed to Vodafone and found out My landline phone isn’t compatible and need another one. I asked the Vodafone advisor what do I need and She didn’t know. Any one tell Me please? I’m a bit out of touch with these but always feel better having a telephone as backup

Interesting that Vodaphone's own information booklet about Home Phone features a prominent holding shot of a lady using an old rotary dial phone, and then the first bullet point says:

Before you start using Vodafone Home Phone, please check you have:

    • A touch-tone phone. If it’s not, you’ll need to get one.

    Idiots!

Anyway, some info here might be of use?

Rotary dial phones can work with tone dialling, and there is a bit of a market in vintage rotary phones that have been converted to tone dialling; also you can get reproduction rotary dial phones with tone dialling.

Landlines are being moved over to entirely digital, which may introduce other problems.

    Second bullet point:

    • The correct buttons on your keypad. You’ll need *, # and R (recall) as well as the standard numerical buttons.
