    IWC classics

    Good day all,

I have been reading about the IWC cal 89 movement, used in the classic Mark XI pilots watch.

Is there a similarly robust automatic movement from IWC?

I’m interested in picking up a basic 3 hander, around the 34-36mm mark from this classic watch maker.

Any pointers towards of movements, and especially watch models incorporating such movements would be appreciated.

    Cheers all

The 85(31) series in the 50s/60s Ingenieur 666?

I don’t know much about these, but always admired their looks. A classic looking three-hander.

    Cheers Billy,

That’s exactly what I’m looking for, an 853, time only 3 hander.

I know a few members have mentioned and shown some awesome older IWC watches here, with people commenting on the movements.

Another rabbit hole to go down I guess

Now that is very nice. It’s a shame you no longer have it.
    Right up my street that
