Damn, that's a real shame. Was just watching the new series Go West and had hoped was through it, at least he managed one last season of what he enjoyed.

That is so sad, like others have said, I’d hoped he was over the worst of it and on some kind of road to recovery. :-(

T every chemo visit is soul destroying seeing the youngster with it noticing people we don’t come because they are no longer with us seeing the pressure the staff are under unbelievable.

There’s never enough beds there’s never enough staff and you always have to queue it can take up to five hours at times.

Sorry to hear she has to go through this Paul. Chemo is quite debilitating, hope it knocks the beast back.

    Sorry to hear this Paul.

I can empathise as our son Thomas had brain cancer at age 6 and had to have 3 operations to remove it all along with chemo and radiotherapy.

So sad to see other children go through this. He lost a close friend to another cancer at around the same time. Dexter was 7 years old. :(

Luckily for Thomas, it was removed and he is 14 now and has been cancer free for over 6 years.

    All the best

    Mark

It’s tough isn’t it, and sorry to hear what your other half is battling.

I’ve been accompanying my Father through 5 years of chemo and radiotherapy treatments, it takes its toll on everybody, but he’s still here and enjoying life.

Sad news - I didn't realise he was ill.

I'm not a fan of TV chefs in general, but the duo were always more entertaining viewing than most.

Oh, what awful news. Bizarrely, it was only last night whilst watching the program that Bea and I were contemplating that he must have been really ill (we were actually completely unaware of his battle against cancer). Rest in peace.

He lived a couple of villages away from us in France, we saw him out and about a few times (usually at his villages annual fete).

Far too young. Saw their live show maybe ten years ago, came over just super nice even more than is obvious from the TV shows.

    RIP.

Very sad news indeed, he came across as a really decent guy.

    Nice choice of timepiece too.

Sorry to hear this, my sister finished chemo and just had her last radio yesterday. I remain nervous. Best wishes and thoughts to your wife, it must have been tough for you both.

Dave’s death has hit quite hard, probably due to my sister, but him & Anthony B were the people who got me into cookery and my passion for food.

Met him once at a food event, lovely chap. RIP you will be missed by so many, especially Si.

Same. Saw a couple of the new series and although didn't know he had cancer you could tell he had been through the mill. Doing the show though I thought he must be on the up. The way his mate looked at him at times though I did wonder.
Poor bloke but he definitely enjoyed his time here.

One of the few TV cooks who I always enjoyed watching. There was so much camaraderie with Si, and an infectious enthusiasm for travelling, meeting and sharing with others.
