Jager Master Control - Bi-Metal Rose gold Bracelet?

    Hi All

I have a Rose Gold Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Date 147.2.37.S. It's on a croc strap, and I would like to get it on a bracelet.

I think the bracelet would either need to be rose gold or bi-metal rose gold.

This was not an option when I bought the watch.

However, for newer models, Jaeger now do full stainless with stainless bracelets.

Any thoughts on how it would look?
Any ideas on where I could source a bracelet?

    Many thanks

If you mean putting a SS bracelet on a gold watch- it will look weird IMHO. It will probably cost a couple of grand too.

Jager Master Control - Bi-Metal Rose gold Bracelet?

My thoughts are that I wouldn’t do it or give it another thought.

The rose gold Jaeger LeCoultre is a beautiful watch and the black strap with rose gold clasp is the perfect match. (Ps. Brown croc/gator looks good too)

I think 40mm is quite big for a dress watch and adding another hefty chunk of gold or other metal would turn it from a sophisticated looking watch to something rather brash and tasteless.

Also, is rose gold uniform? Do small changes in composition make quite a difference in shade? If this is the case, then matching from different manufacturers could be difficult and different shades would stand out.

Quite keen on having a rose gold Master Control one day, preferably the smaller 37mm 148.2.89 (ps. correction 140.2.89).

My personal favourite is a brown leather strap with a rose gold case, I’ve never quite understood rose gold with black ?
Unless a bracelet is specifically machined for your piece, it is unlikely to fit well.

Maybe consider a fine alligator skin in tan or mid brown with curved ends to give a fresh perspective.

But guys, how else can I stop myself buying a Datejust!!

    Collection is
1952 Omega Seamaster - generally worn with black tie

JLC Master Control Rose Gold - good with suits or dressing smart

Breitling Heritage Superocean with a blue bezel and dial - worn with anything

I'd like a slightly louder than the JLC, but still dressy watch, that's about more elegant and smaller in size than the Breitling.

I was thinking, if I could switch the JLC onto a Bracelet that would be ideal.

What about sourcing an existing gold bracelet with the same end links and getting the branding polished out, hell you could even look into getting a bracelet made?

I know that Atelier De Chronometrie make custom bracelets.

I assume if you can find a decent goldsmith they would be able to make you one too and probably cheaper than AdC.
