Sinn Arktis 203 on a suitably chilly day by the North East coast.

    Go for it.

You can tell the size of an El Primero case by looking at the position of the subdials on the dial. With the big cased EP's, the subdials just look lost on the dial IMHO, so the EP design only really works for me up to 42mm.

I think that is a 3817. It is small at around 37mm but it still works today with it's subdials filling the dial. Lovely.

I've been pondering a Chronomaster sport for a while. I'd need to sell 2 or 3 of my current crop to manage it tho, and I can never decide what to let go.

Now I want 2 Zeniths, my wife won't be happy about this development 😉

^^^This is probably the greatest Friday post ever! What a watch, what a story and great to see a tool watch still doing it's job 57yrs on!

It's my Sinn U2 on the wrist today. I did have it on my red slick but SWMBO put her foot down as we are off out later and a modicum of decorum is expected 🤷*♂️

Thank you. That’s right, it’s the A3817. The dial design, subdials, lugs, and tonneau shaped case work well together, giving it the look and feel of a 39mm watch on the wrist.

Understood. I'd be going 37mm or 38mm on a Zenith. I really love the Chronomaster Originals in 38mm.
